This is a great spot for excellent fries - the owner is very friendly and generous, prices are more than fair. The different types of sauces complement the already perfect fries. The fries are not too soft and not too hard, just right. A must-have...when in Amsterdam!More

This is the best tasting French (Dutch) Fries in Amsterdam. I have tasted many over the years but this is the most tasty. Worth to visit the market and try!!

Great quality and taste of the food. And the attention is super friendly. I would highly recommend this place for a snack and make sure you ask for their curry sauce!

I visited here as part of a stop on a food tour. Coming from England where fish and chips are plentiful I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the fries were and they exceeded my expectations hugely! Definitely the nicest fries I've had and...the satay sauce that was provided to go with them was amazing. We had the opportunity to talk to the owner of the stall and his philosophy on life was inspiring. So if you're visiting the market and need something to eat, make this your first stop!More

Definately the best fries in Amsterdam old west. We tried the medium size french fries, and it was so great. Highly recommended.

Authentic fresh French fries on the market of the Ten Katestraat in Amsterdam Old West. Not far by tram from Leidse Square. Heiko is passionate about the quality and taste of his French fries. The patotoes are daily peeled and cut on spot. Therefore the...fries are crisp and dry. The result is golden brown medium sized fries in which you really taste the patotoes. A true must taste if you are around.More

Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Only heard good things about this place so decided to check it out. Fair prices and portions. Owner is super friendly and easy to talk to. Good choices of sauces.

This place was awesome. We went to the Ten Katemarkt at about 11:30am on a Friday. It was relatively early so we had a few minutes to talk with the owners. What really stands out to me about this place is the care that goes...into the frites. The potatoes are purchased daily and hand-peeled. They're hand-cut and fried that morning. The second fry happens after you order. The fries were flavorful - like the potato actually had some character - and done perfectly. The mayo was delicious too. The title of the review is from something the owner said. He does owns this stand because he wants to and enjoys it. He never wants to work, just to work again. I think it's inspiring and I'll try harder to incorporate it into my life. I need to go back while I'm here in Amsterdam.More

Thank you for this immaculate review! We are happy to hear that there are people who try to live an honest life. We are not used to be an example, everybody needs to go it's own way. That's the only good way. Never be afraid...More
