We went in for drinks. They recommended a wine and a champagne for us, a party of 6. The choice was outstanding. The staff was so welcoming and entertaining. They were the best part of our experience. We will be back for food next time.

We had a lovely early dinner here. Plenty of veggie and also meaty choices. A warm and friendly welcome, proper local venue. Excellent cheese and bruschetta, platters and pasta. We really enjoyed the Tuscan bean bruschetta, cheese platter and gnocchi. Delicious. Lovely cocktails, beer and...wine choices, including the recommened house red, which was excellent. Great little gem of a place, very authentic and welcoming. Thank you so much. XxxMore

Great little place that we stumbled across on our first night in Florence. We arrived on a late flight and checked into our apartment in via del Presto at around 21.15. We were a bit concerned that we were a bit late to get dinner...but the waiter was very accommodating and welcomed us in. We had two pasta dishes, the pica casa and the ravioli pecorino plus a glass of pinot grigio and a birra moretti 66cl. Really enjoyed it. Total price 43 euros inc tax. Perfect start to our break in an authentic setting. Lots of vegetarian choices. Definitely recommend for a straightforward 'home cooked meal'. If you don't speak Italian I advise you just to learn a few words, such as good evening, please and thank you and you will find the locals appreciate your efforts.More

Really average. Average service. Average food. My partner ordered the mushroom risotto (dry and tasteless). I had a different dish which was tasty. Slapdash disinterested service. I resented paying 70 euro (did not stay for dolci).

Fabulous food and wonderful service. Can't say more than that. Atmosphere is local and family. Small and unassuming but offering food that is satisfactory all around. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing place with great food. We chose a burratta salad, some crostini and pasta. Everything was so good and we decided to try their tiramisú which was also fabulous. Good prize and service. It is very close to the domo but it seems to be...a well known place by the italians at fioreze. If I come back someday I will repeat.More

The best pasta we had in Florence and it wasn’t even close. Had to order seconds and dessert because we enjoyed it so much. Grazie!

Our B&B recommended this place and it was the first dinner we ate in Florens. I ordered gnocchi with cheese and truffle and my fiancé ordered a pasta ragu. Both was OK, nothing to complain about but still good enough. Service was also OK, you...ordered, you got your food and could pay within reasonable time. Just don’t expect to be pampered or have small talk with the hostess. I read a few reviews here that they could be kind of bitter or irritated, but that’s nothing we experienced.More

We came upon the small restaurant by accident and enjoyed it so much we booked for the following evening too. The platters are delicious for two as are the main courses. The food and drinks were excellent value.

I can’t say enough about this place! My family came here looking for something authentic and not overly touristy in Florence. This place was an absolute gem. Delicious food and the gentleman and lady working spoke very little English and were concerned when my son...didn’t finish his food. I tried to explain that he wasn’t feeling well and they went to the back, made up different food and brought it out to him, then brought him more, finally they brought him hot tea. It was such a kind gesture, they were genuinely trying to help him feel better. They didn’t charge us at all for the extra food. If you want an a great, authentic Italian meal in the heart of Florence, this is the place! ♥️ Grazie!!More

We stumbled by this adorable little restaurant down a narrow street behind the Duomo. The decor is just as authentic as the owners and the food. This was definitely the highlight of our eating in Florence- it checked all the boxes: food, ambiance, customer service,...authenticity. I noticed many of the patrons were locals which always makes we feel like it’s a good move. My husband had the Bistecca Florentine. He’s a steak lover and ate this at every meal while we were in Florence. He said this one was the best he had. I went with the lasagna and found it to be excellent. Good traditional Italian food in an authentic setting. What’s not to love.More

Revisited I’ Mangiarino where we had fine dinner 10 years ago. Chef here is promoting simple slow Italian food. Same excellent Mozzarella with salad and tomatoes. Too bad, this time, it is only 2 of us and so we skipped yummy pasta and gnocchi. Probably...I should have chosen to lighter meal like many locals did here like spaghettis with meat etc. Steak was a bit better last time (rushed to prep this time?), Bistecca alla fiorentina price increased more than 100% than last time we visit, but here price hike is more reasonable.More
