Very Italian looking and very inviting to stop for a glass of wine and 1 euro bread and something but didn't experience what others describe here.

I study here, and this is probably my favorite place to have lunch. Small but amazing panini for 1 euro each, and a small glass of wine (ombra) for 0.60 cents. In terms of value for money, it doesn't get any better than this. I...More

We saw a ton of great reviews of the place and decided to go there. Maybe we went there off season (mid Oct) - the place empty, the food was till cheap (1 euro sandwiches), however the sandwiches were tough to chew - looks like...More

I often go there and the tiny place is packed with regulars. A favourite student venue. At only 1 euro for the pannini, and 60 cents for a glass of wine, you can't beat value for money. You can spot the original owner, Lele, still...More

Found this little gem and there were a ton of locals there. The mini sandwiches were super cheap and very good! And the wine was cheap as well. There is not alot of space to eat right at the place, be we walked a short...More

Welcoming buzz during 10am with lots of locals and tourist stopping for a bite, tasty little sandwiches with fillings of pancetta, salami or specks with various other lovely combinations of mushrooms, artichoke and our favourite bell Peppers! Best part is it’s pretty near the stations...More

We stumbled upon this gem and we are so glad that we did. Don't let the queues put you off, as the queue goes pretty quick. You can't go wrong with 60 cents wine ! Unsure of the amount, but I'd say it's about a...More

Very friendly atmosphere- everyone seemed to know each other so we assumed it’s where locals hang out? We came here at 9:30 in the morning in Saturday and the place was already buzzing. The owner was very friendly, and it was just a really fun...More

Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district)
when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring
cars and buses close to the center of Venice.
Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking
Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes
with energy from travelers and students. Historic
palaces and former industrial buildings house some
departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture

I don't recall any fish. As far as vegetarian, you could get cheese and tomato on your sandwich. The counter guys were very nice and helpful.
