This is a wonderful off the beaten path restaurant. Full of locals and staff that makes you feel like family. They brought everything family style and it was all delicious and fresh.
Popped in for a lunch on our way to the airport, managed to get a table although closing time was around the corner. What a typical Italian trattoria, simple and delicious food and authentic atmosphere. Much better than several restaurants that we have visited!
What an amazing experience! We were strolling around the town and came across this establishment. It was busy with a lot of customers coming out. We went inside and were immediately seated. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful even with the children acting...up, when we asked to see the dessert menu they just rolled out all of the desserts for us to pick. A definite must go to spot if you are here.More
We had lunch there on a working day. Overall the experience was good and the food was wery well made. We had tortellini and pasta la ragu'. Mascarpone cream for dessert. Price are reasonable and service was good.
The place might look like an average cantine but it's quite amazing. The waiters are quick and nice, the prices are really good and the food is good. We tried the lasagna, the steak and tiramisu, everything was tasty. The house wine is pretty good....I recommend the place!More
Delicious, great priced , fresh , home made Italian food. Even the house red wine was great, deserts aMazing. Rustic style , awesome service which is unusual for Italy
Back in Bologna for another business trip but staying in a different hotel and not familiar with the area. Used Tripadvisor’s find a restaurant near me tool and decided to go here based upon the reviews. We were not disappointed. I (and others) has the...Bolognese trio of pasta that was lasagne tagliatelle and tortellini in a broth and it was really good would recommend. Others had the bolognese cutlet and enjoyed it.More
Near Stadio Dallara zone, there is this lovely and traditional Bolognese Trattoria. Big parking outside, the rooms are lovely, typical Emilian foods, wonderful tagliatelle and passatelli.Excellent
NIce local restaurant with friendly, helpful and fast service. Dishes were delicious. Good perk is nearby parking of local supermatrket.
Quite far away from the center. Full of local people in large tables, thus noisy and hot. However, well cared by friendly staff. Good (not excellent) pasta, good house wine, fair mascarpone
An unassuming exterior hides a great ambience inside - a bolognese gem. The menu is full of authentic dishes and locally sourced wines. totally worth the short journey out of the town centre to find.
I am a 100% Bolognese guy currently living in Amsterdam. This restaurant is my favourite choice (after grandma's home of course) when i go back to my hometown. Amazing 'primi' (please go for tortelloni or passatelli) and main courses (love Horse 'straccetti'). Desserts (go for...Zuppa Inglese) are simply delicious. Atmosphere is great, not formal, you feel at home. Staff is very kind and polite. Bill in the average for Bologna (pasta+main course+dessert+house wine and coffee) around 25/30 euros/person.More
First night dinner in Bologna! We were not disappointed! Great service and fantastic food! Our waitress ordered for us and we had a great meal!
Milena, the owner of this simple but delicious trattoria, is amazing, as is the food. She was our server and boy we would have eaten out of her hand. She had an energy and verve that one seldom finds in owners, chefs or servers. Just...listening to her recite the dishes, simply and directly with a bit of nuance, made your mouth water. The food, typical Bolognese cooking, was exactly what you'd expect in a place that is a lunch favorite for workers as well as business people. Many of the diners called her by her name and she reciprocated in kind. She knew the eating habits of her customers and recommended a dish or two which was quickly confirmed by the diner. The restaurant is a mom and pop decor; it could easily be a truck stop kind of joint or your favorite local diner. The menu has many choices. My 2 buddies opted for the home made torteloni; one with butter and sage, which was perfection; the other with gorgonzola, but only a hint so that it did not overwhelm the ricotta inside the torteloni. i was in the mood for pasta agile olio, which was great. i should've ordered the tortellini in brodo...but foolishly i did not. The pastas were enough to satisfy that we skipped seconds and went straight for desert. Every one of the 10 or so choices was home made and superb. Mind you, there's nothing refined about the dining experience; this is an eating at your favorite cooks kitchen and sharing a meal with friends kind of place. The wine by the glass was a delicious San Giovese. Pontelungo is a 10 minute ride from the central train station. It is a must try trattoria that will remind you why Italian home cooking is so delicious. buon apetitoMore
