My wife and I went here for dinner. We ordered paella and croquetas to share. We also ordered a pitcher of sangria. The food was OK but you can find much better elsewhere. The sangria was OK but too much ice and soda and not...enough wine. The service was fair. They were attentive when until you got your food then the waiter was not to be found. The biggest thing going for this place is the location which we went for more than the food. If you enjoy people watching this is a good place.More

The menu gave very little information on the food. Food quality below par. Great location but quality not at level with the bill.

Great location in the plaza, but bad service, bad food, and expensive. The complimentary slice of tortilla was not good and the ham croquetas, were mostly filled with a white paste (flour?) with tiny bits of ham. they were awful! From our table we watched...an illegal accordion player do his thing and a police officer come to run him off. Afterwards, the accordion player walked among the tables at Tineo trying to collect money. Nah, go somewhere else.More

The Maitre d did great job getting us into this outdoor café. Wait staff was very nice. Even advised us on how not to attract pick pockets and/or getting our personal belongings stolen. I even saw them do this with other customers and passers by...thoughout our meal. As for the food. We ordered several Tapas plates, from Mussels and Pulpo (octopus) to empanadas and ham and cheeses, etc. all of which was basically ok. I've had better. However, I wish I had known beforehand that the Pulpo was 30 euros.More

Bad Paella (just 1 prawn) any asparagus or many shellfish and mussel, without any tasting. The price is higher than other restaurants in area. Attendance is not good as well.

Visited here on the day of the Champions League Final. Service was excellent and well versed waiters. Draught beer was good to. However prices in the English listed menu far outweighed the spanish menu and at crazy prices for average food £15 for some cheese...(6 slices), £15 for a spanish omelette etc. We ordered a load of food between 4 of us and they came out with little portions that needed more ordering. Then when our other friend joined us later and ordered some ham and cheese just for him they brought out enough for the whole table! Tip ask for the menu in Spanish and dont order before you do. Good location and you will pay for that.More

Hatton Gardens, Ronnie Biggs, Nani's red card v Madrid.....all of these shameful events pale into comparision against the sheer brazen gaul of these charlatans. The dictionary definition of organized crime. A shower, a shambles yet one cannot help doth their cap at the slickness of...dupe. A well oiled scam that preys on the weak, naive and hungover. Targetting tourists, you are lured in and offered some light nibbles to go with your drink. You are not going to see any prices or menus - that would give the game away. A few mintues of waiting for your nuts, crisps and bread sin oils later ... you are then on the receiving end of endless plates that are not requested. Ranging from the proverbial urine poor sweaty manchego "cheese" to a classicly stale "Cob"...these are the deadly weapons of these artists. So....for our couple of drinks and a rest in the sun, we are hoodwinked to the tune of about £500!! 6 slices of cheese were £16 - not that we asked or wanted any. They know exactly what they are doing and this is a well versed ploy. I think our group might return to Madrid one day....the stag is good for a few more weddings yet....I'm sure that we would love to say hello. We'll see you again Tineo my old china, you can count on that. Do you know what Nemisis means? Speaking of tricksters...don't get a charicture in the plaza.More
