The restaurant was recommended to us by a friend from Madrid. We tried various typical dishes, such as patatas bravas, tortillas, fried calamares, pimientos and croquetas, all very very good. Our visit was ok. I wish I had read reviews prior to coming, but we were enticed by promises of the best tortilla. Portions are gigantic to the point that the wait staff warned us that we shouldn't order the salad (it was for 4-6...people and we were 2). The small tortilla and two other dishes fed us for several meals. The food was fine but it wasn't anything special. I found the staff to be polite but not all have English skills. I did see some really rude customers who were frustrated with that fact and took it out on their waitress.More
We love La Buha but we usually go to the ones in La Latina. It was our first time in this one and will be the last !!! The staff was despicable, no politeness whatsoever, they took all our glasses before we were even finished,...same goes for plates (some of us weren’t finished yet the others were already without plates). We didn’t ask for the bill but it was brought to us and we were asked to pay right away and leave … this never happened to us in any place we have been. The waitress dared lie to us to justify the fact she was kicking us out saying there were bookings following … in a restaurant where they don’t take bookings. Big disappointment because the food is great but the service was terrible.More
Last night in Madrid, the planned taberna place was closed, so we entered La Buha, with low expectations. In fact, service was pretty dull. However, food was very good. Great pimientos padrón and the "tosta con solomillo de ternera, foie gras y salsa de albaricoque"...was excellent. Only the calamares wasn't great, a bit too heavy. The portions were huge, but not the price. I would surely recommend.More

Cozy restaurant in chueca. They serve really good filled tortillas. Same for the raciones. We were really satisfied about the food and wine but pity for the service. Our waitress was rude and that’s a real shame.

A great place to eat but the later you leave it t night, the busier the place gets. the food is good, staff friendly and a decent choice of local beer and wine. Well worth a visit as is its brother location El Buo, just...opposite.More

Food was great! Big portions, definitely worth a visit! The Tortillas can serve 2-4 people depending on how hungry you are.

We stumbled across this place looking for somewhere to have a meal, even though it was Valentine’s Day and we didn’t book prior to our visit they greeted us and found a table straight away. We ordered some croquettes and deep fried Brie cubes and...what we thought was going to be sirloin steak but it came to us as butterfly chicken, which actually suited our little tapas meal better, along with a couple of glasses of Rioja and cerverza’s the meal came to just under 50€. This restaurant was really busy and the staff never stopped working to serve all the tables and customers and it seems to be a little goldmine as the steady flow of people arriving and leaving so it’s a nice place to be if you like busy places and if you don’t mind the noise as it does get pretty noisy but we didn’t mind this at all but if you are looking for a quiet meal may be come back later or go earlier than we did at 8pm.More

Great value for money. Huge portions, tasty food, unbeatable prices and friendly service. Don’t underestimate the size of their “raciones” as they’ll easily feed two people.

this place is the tempel of tourtilla!! the have many kinds but know- it is big!! they use one kilo of potatos!! there is no small on!! but they give you dogibag!! the place is nice the sangria was gret! great ambiance,,, go!!

Food is reasonably priced, We ordered a seafood dish on a squewere and also Sirloin with cheese on top, both were very good. Also ordered Pizza that was less exciting, not enough cheese or too many vegtables. Service was excellent and also generous with Tapas...on the house. More

Is just WOW. You order a "tortilla de patatas" and thats all you need to know. Is just INCREDIBLE. The food is amazing and is know for their various versions of the tortilla, and each one is better than the next one. Service amazing. Great...location for after drinks around. Is a GO!More

Stopped in here for an easy lunch and a much needed cold drink to beat the heat. All of the servers were very friendly and helped me from over ordering as the portions are HUGE!! Great selection of dishes and tons options for meat and...fish and vegetarian. The Spanish omelette looked insane and she told us they feed four people. My grilled squid was a legitimate entire squid! It was delicious and cooked perfectly.More
