We visited this lovely restaurant for lunch. The service was very friendly. I had a delicious avocado and warm goats cheese salad with honey dressing. My partner had salmon with Canarian potatoes. We finished off with Canarian liqueur coffee at the recommendation of the waitress....We both agreed that it was the best meal of our holiday.
The views are stunning and I would recommend this place for a drink or a meal.More
This restaurant is definitely worth the walk up from the town.
The waiter was working his socks, keeping everyone served & cleaning the tables & chairs to meet the current legislation.
We just had drinkies, but many other people were eating.
A big mention needed...for the excellently clean toilets.
Plus then there's the view over Puerto de la Cruz, Amazing.More

My husband and I just returned from dinner at Taoro. Apart from the views and the waiter, who was very pleasant and in his first week of employment, tonight’s experience was a huge disappointment.
We were very hungry after a full day out without lunch!!...We ordered; padron peppers (good), croquettes (bad/cheap quality and tasteless (with a very strange sauce accompanying them which was completely contradictory in flavour), potatoes/papas (hard and tasted like they were simply heated up), goat cheese salad (very average with cheese that apparently had been heated but in fact was cold) and a cod dish with salad and potatoes/papas (appearance was unappetising and taste was very average)
On the plus side the venue does have a great view of Puerto de la Cruz so perfect for a coffee or aperitif at any time of year however if you’re looking for a ‘quality’ meal or tapas, sadly you won’t find them here. We won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend for dining. We did pass on comments and suggestions to our waiter so hope that they are acknowledged by the owner as this place could be truly wonderful!! Good luck!More
We stopped in for a break after walking up the steps from town.
They have a large terrace overlooking the town and coast with very reasonable prices.
We had 1 cafe con Lethe and one Mahou beer (33cl.bottle) for €3.20.
better to arrive from the top and not from the bottom since ther are many steps to get there.the food is nice but a big difference in service frome one night to another.
besides that the chef is leaving early and leaves an assistant and...dish washer in charge of his kitchen....toilets are locked at 2100 so be sure to go quicklyMore
