This is in the old city within the fortified city walls. Small square of restaurants with open air dining.. set menu's for all budgets and great atmosphere. Recommended by our accommodation host ( See my review of Pelletier du Claux- little gem). It was buzzing,...early evening and you must book ahead. Highly unlikey to get a table without booking especially between 6 - 9pm but the views are stunning. For the price paid the food was both great value and good for all in our party. Enjoy!More

Going to Carcassonne is a must and finding a good place to eat is not easy as there is so many restaurants. We had a bottle of water and a menu for16 euro and coffee, total 42 euro for lunch for 2 people. We had...their specialty a bowl with baked beans and sausage and confit de canard. Reminded much of British pub food. Eatable but not very good. Would recommend to eat something else but not sure the other plays are better. So yea if you are hungry, this is an ok option, but do not expect a lunch to remember.More

Got recommended by our B&B hostess but rather surprised with the quality of the food. The restaurant had a great location with nice outdoor atmosphere. It’s overlooking the castle and when the light show was on you could see some of it. Big servings but...average food. Salad Nicose was good but huge just as well we shared. I had duck breast and the meat was cooked to my specification medium but the sauce was too overpowering. My husband had a pork and again it was just average. The watering staff were on their feet but extremely efficient.More

Great service. Staff recommended a rose wine that was excellent. Food was delicious though, the portions are quite big, which is reasonable prices

Everything was good. The welcome, wine, starter, main & desert were all top notch and at a good price.

Lovely fresh food. We are not big fans of the region’s cassoulet so it was nice to have something a bit different: my husband had cod in a lovely garlic sauce, while I had chicken skewers. Starters and desserts were v good too. 16€ evening...menu is excellent value for 3 courses. Demi pichet was 6 or 7 euros. Whole bill for 2 of us, including apéritifs and coffee was 50€ - superb. Great service too.More

I was seeking out the famous Cassoulet while in town, a simple meat and beans stew, and reviews mentioned this might be the best one. I have to say it was delicious. I went for the daily menu with 3 courses, and it was all...lovely. The chicken gizzards salad sounded unusual, but it was tender and fulfilling. The creme brulee was great. The house wine was reasonable without being amazing, but was a great price for a carafe.More

We went here on our first night in Carcassonne and, having been to several restaurants, it still remains one of the best meals we had, with delicious food, friendly staff and excellent value for money. If you plan going, it is best to book ahead...as it is relatively small and soon fills up on popular nights. We were able to have a table when we arrived at 7.15pm; by 8pm it was full. I thoroughly recommend it and suspect we may be back soon.More

On our first day in Carcassonne we had earmarked this restaurant for lunch. We had such a superb lunch with the 16 euro menu, that we came back the following evening to try the 25 euro menu. Both meals were superb, with the Casserole and the...Duck pieces wrapped in a circle the highlight.I was asked how i liked the duck cooked and said medium to well done and it came out spot on! Washed down by a lovely Limoux Chardonnay, with excellent service despite being almost full, its a restaurant i would gladly return to.More

Like a lot of previous reviewers, Adelaide was recommended by the owner of the property we were staying at. We went into the Cite in the afternoon and booked for the evening. We were glad we did as it was very busy. The food was...good, we had the Menu of the Day. I had baked camembert followed by Cassoulet and my wife had a Feta cheese salad follwed by sirloin steak. It was well cooked and good value. The 50cl carafe of wine was just right for the two of us, a perfectly acceptable Corbieres.More
