A pit stop enroute to Queen St station. A nice ambience, good beers an attentive bar staff. It was good to see that COVID-19 precautions were taken seriously too!

Unbelievable ! 2 couples only had 4 drinks prior to our booking. Denied access due to them saying one of us had to much drink. Absolutely no chance ! Had food and drink prior to this. Called the manager / bouncer To complain but absolute...atrocious attitude. Avoid at all costs . Better bars and attitude in Glasgow. Not worthyMore

Very disappointed with staff. What has happened to the friendly atmosphere of this pub. Had one drink with friends and was refused another... Barman stated we had had too much. As I had just finished diner with my friend, feel that his judgement was wrong....Will not visit again.More

We visited yesterday after a long lockdown period. The bar staff were miserable and made the us feel really uncomfortable. I had heard this place was friendly and being our first trip to Glasgow we were really looking forward to it. I wouldn’t recommend the...place for atmosphere or service.More

I have been going on and off to Waxys for many years, and in all that time have never had any issues....... HOWEVER. After a long period of covid lockdown myself and a few friends decided to go out. As always we tend to go...to Waxys last thing before getting a train home.# SO. At 2130 after serving us one drink, the barman decided we weren't getting another drink.....stating we were drunk!!!! I asked to speak to manager who rightfully took the side of barman. After 4 drinks over an evening with diner, i hardly think this can be considered "drunk", and can only assume that barman took an instant dislike to us for some reason. Maybe barman was having a bad day??? but i have never been treated as such in Waxys before, and was actually rather annoyed, hence this review. Getting turned out of a bar at 2130 hrs was not my idea of my first evening out after lockdown. Needless to say i will not be back in Waxys, and neither will any of my friends or family. This service is not what a establishment needs to get people back out and about after the covid lockdown,More

Shared a bottle of wine with a friend before returning home. The guy who served us couldn’t have been more attentive or friendly if he had tried. Didn’t get his name but he was from Caithness. Thank you for the perfect end to a perfect...break. Will be my first stop next Glasgow visitMore
