A weekend in Edinburgh for the Lions V Japan was rounded off with great friends and a really good afternoon spent in the Queens Arms. A compact booth was our stopping point that was perfect for several hair of the dog drinks and a very...tasty Sunday roast. The relaxed atmosphere was perfect and the service from Stephen provided plenty of entertainment. Initially we were slightly disappointed to miss out on the roast beef, especially as we had left a message to preorder, but the roast chicken was delicious as was the rest of the classic Sunday roast. Top marks for the Cauliflower cheese! On the way home to Glasgow it turned out Id left a pair of sunglasses. A quick search found the larger than life Stephen and no sooner had I contact him he had confirmed he had them and would arrange safe return. Now back in my possession and I'm very grateful for his superb customer service. We will return!More

Also, the food was delicious! Definitely recommend the burger. The service was prompt and nothing...was too much bother, would definitely recommend going.More

We went here as a table of 3 on a Friday evening and it was a great experience. We found due to the restrictions the atmosphere was a bit off in a lot of pubs due to no music being allowed. However we were pleasantly...surprised to find a great atmosphere here, it was very busy. Despite being busy we received great service and amazing food! I would definitely come here again next time I’m visiting Edinburgh.More

We ended our visit to Edinburgh with a trip to the queens arms for sunday lunch after reading the great reviews. We are only going to add to this! The food was amazing! Probably the best Sunday lunch we have had! And the staff were...fabulous and very friendly. (Ps- we loved the singing waiter) the atmosphere was great and our next trip up to Scotland we will definitely be returning!More

When we arrived our table wasn’t ready so we were seated at a nice square table while we waited. The pub is cosy and interesting and has been styled thoughtfully with prints and books. Sadly we were moved from this perfect table to our booked...one which was a small booth that was a bit of a squeeze, it would have been nice if we’d been left where we were. Our food was great - delicious fish and chips and steak. Covid precautions were excellent - temperatures taken, masks worn, screens between the booths. I’ve given a 5star rating as I’ll make sure I book a freestanding table next time :)More

This pub is much bigger than it appears from the outside. It is almost in a basement as you go down a few steps into the pub itself. Cosy little cubicles to sit in if you are eating seem almost made for the current isolation...situation but are obviously an original feature. The food was very well cooked and presented and the staff were friendly. I had the Haddock & Chips which was excellent.More
