After a great first year of trading at The Boat Inn, we are continuing our efforts to focus our attention on creating a quality lead food and beverage hub in lichfield. Inclusion in this years Michelin Guide being a great stepping stone. We are also proud to announce that head chef & owner, Liam Dillon, has been presented with the Best Chef Award at the Midlands Food, Drink & Hospitality Awards 2018! We have been very fortunate to be able to refurbish the pub so our guests can relax in comfort with our selection of Fine beer, wine and cuisine. New goals have been created with the new year, with the outside area for our own pigs as well as our chickens.
We went on a Sunday in June for Father’s Day. There was a bit of a menu mix up which we’d managed to find online but they were very accommodating. Great friendly service, amazing food. Would definitely recommend.
Spent an afternoon into evening enjoying the wonderful tasting menu. Food, service and drinks all superb. You exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait to come again. The “garden” dish is a touch of genius. Well done
Went with my wife and Sister as a treat for her Birthday. Decided to go for 6 course tasting menu. Wow what an explosion of flavours, the layers of flavour were excellent. I would definitely recommend going.
Amazing birthday meal! One of the best, if not THE best tasting menu we’ve had! Every course offered something completely different but all executed perfectly! The Halibut course and chocolate parfait dessert were out of this world!
Booked to celebrate my husbands special birthday with friends and the whole night was completely amazing. The staff were fantastic, very attentive and looked after us brilliantly. To Harry, Cameron, Millie and of course Gino, thank you from us all for being so great. The...food did not as ever disappoint and we thoroughly enjoyed every course. We all did the taster (be rude not to) except one and dietary requirements were noted and accommodated for. Each course was absolutely delicious and the attention to detail extremely high. Wish I could afford to eat here every day. Thank you to Liam and to your team for all your hard work.More
We had our wedding reception here 2 weeks ago and what a fantastic afternoon it was.
From start to finish everything went extremely well.
Harry went the extra mile to make sure our day was perfect, even meeting with him a few times before the...wedding just to go over a few things.
The food was fantastic and everyone was extremely happy with the end result.
I would like to give a big thank you to
Liam and everyone else who helped make our day so special.
Would highly recommend.

Visited on a Friday evening and we were well looked after from the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left. The staff were fantastic, really attentive and knowledgeable about the food. Drinks were flowing all round and the food was to...die for. Well worth a visit.More
The Boat was light and spacious. We ordered a bottle of Merlot which was reasonably priced for a Michelin restaurant.
Scallop to start followed by beef with smoked beef mash, amazing.
Service was excellent, couldn't fault anything.
Great meal for only our second trip out...since start of pandemic.
Thanx to all.More
My husband and I had the six course tasting menu and it was beautifully presented, the food was full of flavour and the staff were attentive. We booked the meal after watching the chef on the Great British menu, we were not disappointed at all....If you don’t mind paying a little more definitely worth a visit, would highly recommendMore
We had a great evening at the boat, the food was all lovely and so well presented. We had the 3 course menu and there was a nice choice on the menu. The service was really good all night too. Definitely worth a visit!
