We had been here a few times over the last few years. A nice town house, we prefer the seating upstairs for a quiet meal. This time we tried the tandoori fish and prawns which were delicious. We also tried the biriyani which was top...notch. Our server Hasan was engaging and friendly, ensuring we were well taken care of.More

A friend of mine recommended this restaurant saying that it is” a gem of an old fashioned Indian restaurant in a house in Chelsea”. We rang the bell to enter and were immediately charmed by the warmth of the decor. Our waiter was right out...of central casting except that he was Spanish with a quasi Indian accent. He made some dinner suggestions which turned out to be wonderful and we had a delicious meal. Before we were done, he came and said that they needed the table so here is the check. That was it for us. After spending $200 & being rushed, we will never return.More

Our family reserved a private dining room upstairs and we had the set menu. Some had the vegetarian set menu and both were par excellent. From the surprising green mint chutney sorbet, to the fabulous soft shell crab with perfect embellishments and the flavoursome, mild...chicken curry. Utterly delicious. Good choice of non alcoholic drinks for those driving and as a bonus, one can park for free outside after 6.30 pm. Go now before it becomes too well known. Great great greatttt.... Mrs S PatelMore

Having read review was excited about coming here for my dads birthday but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Food was amazing but the customer service did not merit one of a Michelin star restaurant. The waiter was rude and when he...took down the order wrong started to argue that we didn’t order what we did. The Nan was burnt and food over priced. Will not be returning. What was meant to be a nice occasion ended up being an overpriced nightmare!More

This restaurant is in the heart of Chelsea, 5 mins walk from Sloane Square station and occupies several levels in a townhouse. It’s not flock wallpaper although more Indian artefacts would not go amiss. That said, the choice of food, the ingenuity of flavours, the...standard and quality of the meal and the excellent service are second to none. Terrific selection of intriguing cocktails. Good vibes. I’m no stranger to food from the Indian subcontinent and have consumed street food to high end meals so I can say, somewhat immodestly, that I’m able to judge Indian style food. Portions were well sized and it would behove diners to order a variety of starters and mains for all to share. A really interesting and delightful supper was enjoyed and after consuming mouthwatering desserts, we left replete. A return visit is definitely on the cards.More

We were a party of 4 and visited on a Friday for dinner service. Having built in some buffer time so as not to be late for our reservation we actually arrived about 20 minutes early. Not a problem. We were promptly seated at our...table. The restaurant was fairly quiet at this time and the staff were very attentive. We were given some recommendations for cocktails and went with those. All the cocktails were winners and went down very well whilst we waited for our starters. We chose to go for 6 starters. The lamb, chicken, salmon, dhokla, quail naan and tiger prawns. Again these did not disappoint with everything cooked, seasoned and spiced just right. The tiger prawns in particular were outstanding. For the mains, we are usually loathed to go for the chicken tikka masala at any Indian joint, but on this occasion, we weren't feeling particularly adventurous and decided against trying the venison or the guinea fowl. To our surprise the tikka masala too had a unique flavour with a tangy kick and all of us absolutely loved it. Additionally, we went for the truffle pulao and lamb rogan josh (substitute for the lamb shank which wasn't available on the day). Again the subtle flavours of the pulao were amazing and the rogan josh which many other places get wrong was cooked just right. By this time we were pretty full but couldn't resist getting 4 desserts to share. The Cassata and the Chocolate dessert were our favourites. Its important to point out that by late evening the place was full, but we still received the same amount of attention and care from the service staff. (Wish we had gotten their names). To top of an already great evening, we were lucky enough to meet the head chef Mr. Rohit Ghai. He was kind enough to spend a good 10 minutes with us talking about his background and all his ongoing projects (new openings, books etc.). His next eatery, Manthan is due to open in Mayfair in the coming weeks. So on to Manthan it is then!!!More

This is an amazing gem of an Indian restaurant on a side street in london. The dishes I mentioned have other names but essentially that’s what they are. But…. perfectly seasoned sauces, incredible flavors. Truly some of the best Indian I have ever enjoyed. And...staff were so professional and friendly. We had a big lunch so weren’t very hungry. We shared dishes and there was no problem. I will definitely return.More
