Fantastic evening at the Paternoster chophouse. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was buzzing. The staff where attentive and the service fast. Definitely recommend a trip whilst in London. Be aware weekends are set menus, but the choice is still great and the price...also very reasonable. We both had the Lamb rump for main and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks paternoster chophouse!More

Amazing dinner such lovely fresh food, a little on the pricey side but lovely for a special occasion. Amazing steaks and seafood and great to see how buzzy it was for a Saturday night in the city.

Went on Saturday night for dinner and although it was in the City of London I was surprised how busy it was. We arrive very early but that was not a problem - the staff are very good and attentive. The food was excellent a...they do a set menu on a Saturday but certainly plenty to choose from. The atmosphere was of a fun buzzy restaurant with lots of people younger than us but all out just to have a nice evening. They had lots of outside seating but we chose inside - really had a very pleasant time and would certainly go back.More

Nice evening meal with friends at the Paternoster. Sat outside and the restaurant was well prepared with heaters and blankets offered. Quick service and lovely food. Slightly on the pricy side but the staff were great and we will definitely go back next time we...are visiting.More

We visited this place for lunch and were seated outside. It was a chilly day but there was a heater provided and also blankets . The place was very busy and tables were booked for only 2 hours. However the food was served promptly so...there wasn’t any time wasted . We ordered crab which was very fresh and delicious. Burgers and fish and chips was also very nice. The service was excellent and full attention was given to the health and safety in line with the covid restrictions. The staff were pleasant and although very very busy , delivered the service with a smileMore

We visited on a relatively chilly day, but the temperature was soon forgotten thanks to the warmth of the staff. They were friendly, attentive and had great banter. The food was excellent and portions plentiful, although my one point of improvement would be that the...Sunday roasts could do with a tad more gravy. The cocktails were great and had their own unique twist, I would especially recommend the Bacon Old fashioned. Overall it was an exceptional visit thank you paternistas!More

Overall a disappointing experience. Overpriced for the quality of food and service you receive. Staff snobby and inattentive. Food good but not great. New location is tucked away so not even in Paternoster Square!

Really good steak, in fact probably the best I’ve had in a long time. The service was spot on and great wine. Top job 👍

Such a weak experience. I went to chophouse when it was in it's old location and it was good, not great but good. They've moved now and have not read the room at all in terms of their new surroundings. They are no longer in...the middle of the tourist spot that is St Pauls, they are amoung offices and londoners now. Their new loaction used to be a hub for all the local workers, the perfect watering hole and lunch spot, all the surrounding offices would go pre-lockdown... Chophouse could have so much repeat business if theeir staff weren't so miserably rude. We went to check it out as we loved what was there before and we wanted to try something new. The staff on the door are immediately unwelcoming, do you even want us to come in?? The menu is fine, the food is good, over priced but if it was a great atmosphere then that could be forgiven - this is london after all. Unfortunately it's the service that makes the whole experience awkward. We couldn't wait to leave! We felt like they were angry we were there the whole time. We weren't treated like they wanted our business, we werent shown any warmth or engagment at all. Such a shame. As a local business, if it was a good atmosphere we would normally go a couple days a week for drinks, lunches and even hire out the space for events. One visit here made us certain that they don't understand their new customer base and why would we want to go and pay those prices if we are going to feel so unwelcome the whole time. Basic customer service is not a hard concept to grasp, if you're a rude person and can't manage slapping on a smile and having manners during your work hours to your customers - you shouldn't be working there. Sadly, it wasn't one or two rude staff members. The entire atmosphere was unwelcoming and unpleasant. Huge shame but hoping another bar/restaurant opens up close to make up for this shambles. I'm sure they'll manage to stay open with the oversplatter off tourists we do get but I hope they aren't relying on repeat business - you won't get any with that attitude.More
