Enjoyed an outstanding meal at this popular Indian restraunt. It was packed out by 7pm which shows it must be popular with the locals. The waiting staff couldn't have been more attentive. The food was as close to perfect as I have tried anywhere else...in the country. Deep, rich, full flavours, cooked by a kitchen team that knew what they were doing. Excellent food and wonderful service. I can’t rave about the food enough - simply delicious and sizeable portions. This isn’t a run of the mill Indian restaurant. Well done to all concerned, an excellent establishment. We will be back.
Came in one night a few weeks ago after travelling from Wales to visit a family friend and ordered a take away from Chutneys as it was recommended to me. The Garlic Naan i recieved seemed all well until i spotted the colourful fingerprints imprinted...in my food from the chef!!! I was revolted and ended up throwing it away and being hungry that night. My chicken Korma was horrible tasting and not freshly cooked which was a shock to me and i have eaten many kormas everytjme i travel. Extremely disgusted and should have gone to the other Indian Restaurant Aroma but was too late and my money was already spent.More
Chutney's is always a great place to eat. The varied menu is delivered consistently so once you find dishes you like you can always count on them next time. Efficient, no-nonsense service every time. Our table of friends were well looked after and everyone enjoyed...their food.More
Lovely food. Best naan breads. Nice atmosphere and service. Evening meal with old friends who we hadn't seen for ages thanks to lockdowns and covid. We all agreed Chutneys was an excellent choice
Obviously a very popular Indian restaurant. We arrived at 6.30 ( the only reservation time we could get ) on a Friday. It was very busy and we were shown our table for 4 very quickly. As the whole meal was quick, because unbeknown to...us, our table had to be vacated by 8pm!. Fantastic food, if you want something more than most Indian restaraunts , then Chutneys is for you. I have been here a few and have never been disappointed. Great food, reasonably priced, good service.

We decided on a Chutneys take away to celebrate a special occasion. Nearly £60 ordered, had to chase the delivery and then found a rather significant (size of a teaspoon) sharp bone, which was well hidden and subsequently got lodged in the roof of my...husbands mouth. I emailed almost immediately but still no reply 4 days later.. very disappointing.More
I work away a lot for my job, but this food is the bar above the top one! In my opinion one of the best in the country. Amazing food amazing service amazing time either in house or takeaway Enjoy
We had heard such good things about Chutneys……. well all I can say is if you want to be hassled and pressured to eat and go then Churneys is the place for you. At the time of booking we were offered 6.30 or 8.30 we...opted for 6.30. We arrived promptly, no welcome just shown to the table. Within seconds of sitting down the waiter appeared to take drinks order. There is fast service and there is give us a chance to sit down! That set the tone for the rest of the meal. Within 2 minutes of being seated another waiter appeared to take our order. Again there’s quick service and there is the distinct feeling that it was being done double quick time. We ordered poppadoms , they arrived within seconds, 5 minutes later the waiter reappears and tries to take them away. Hang on a minute we are enjoying these and would like to finish them. The response from our speedy Gonzales waiter…” We need to clear the table make space your Main course is ready”. So we took the remaining poppadoms off the serving dish and it was whisked away and main course plonked down. No sooner had we taken our last forkful in he swooped …no niceties like “ how was it for you folks” not a chance. Off he trotted with our plates. Plonk ..ah that would be the dessert menu then …not a word was said. He stood there expectantly, the time was 19.50. No dessert thanks, we still had wine to finish. Went with friends to this rather disappointing restaurant, it had been picked because of the high number of good reviews on TripAdvisor. The quality of the food reminded of a cheap takeaway but with higher prices. The premises lacked ambiance this might be because of...the low ceilings. When one of our group complained about the very tough Lamb, the waiter muttered something and more or less just shrugged his shoulders. Won’t be going for a revisit.More
Beautiful contemporary restaurant with a nice modern, clean and cosy interior. Many Dishes are original and interesting, but some classics are there too. Food quality is lovely and service is excellent
