We visited Ceres for dinner on a Saturday night and luckily managed to get a table without booking! It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the BYO kept the bill very reasonable. There was quite a wait for food but it was WELL worth the...More

Let’s start with the cafe latte - in the classic Melbournian style of moderate sized glasses, the type you remember from school, giving a focussed concentrated coffee experience. We were all happy with our brunch options: I chose Square Mile (sweetcorn fritters, smashed avo, grilled...More

Visited Ceres for the first time on Saturday around midday which was very busy but we managed to get a table. We were told it would be a wait for the food but we weren’t in a rush so didn’t mind. Ordered a juice and...More

Have had dinner at Ceres twice now and each time the food has been phenomenally good! Nice atmosphere and being able to BYOB is great - off license is practically next door so very easy too. Chef was really flexible in catering for one of...More

Very impressed with the breakfast and the coffee was excellent, but the service was far too slow (about an hour and missed drinks order). It looked like the chef was also bringing out the food, which seemed counterproductive. We had 2 occasions where other people's...More

Very difficult to get the coffee and the food as the owner just made a fool of himself on front of the customers and fired a barista during Sunday rush. The other barista was crying while making our drinks. Will never go back to this...More

You can also text to book for dinner too, though nearly always at least one table free for dinner if you just turn up as quite big and still relatively unknown yet! Shhhh..
