It was wonderful to revisit this popular venue and see that it still has maintained it's natural ambience, very good food and service.
We enjoyed a lovely family lunch gathering of which the menu consisted of a starters choice of Waldorf salad or Calamari salad; mains of Fish and Chips or Beef Curry and Rice or Roast Chicken and Salad; dessert of Apple Strudel and Ice cream or Carrot Cake and Ice cream.
I opted for the Calamari and Salad, Beef Curry and Rice as well as the Apple Strudel and Ice cream. All were freshly made, portions were generous and deliciously delectable. Compliments all round too for the other dishes.
Already planning my next visit.

Booked for Mothers day lunch
Arrived on time
Our table hadn’t been set up 😟
We waited 1 hour to be served (drinks)
Our first course arrived- no cutlery 🙃
Waiter brought cutlery to the table with a black dish cloth whipped the cutlery and fingered it when handed to us. The joke is on them… view picture below 🤣 there was definitely a lack of communication and coordination between managerial management and staff.
Otherwise we made the luncheon experience a pleasant one. The food was value for money, and very enjoyable.
We will visit again, but not on a public holiday 😜 he

The moment you walk in you can expect great beauty. The establishment is clean and excellent in following covid protocols. They even wrap your utensils in plastic. The food was perfectly prepared , presentation wise it is put together with finesse.There are so many items to choose from. Each dish we chose from was a great taste experience ! The gorgeous view will relax you. The head chef even checked in after every course. We loved it !

Our daughter and son in law took us for Sunday lunch. We were amazed to find a lovely Cape Dutch building hidden away behind the Broadacres shopping centre.
Service was prompt and efficient, and the staff were very helpful. What we really enjoyed were the unusual and creative items on the menu. For starters, the Beef Bobotie Tart was a large helping. The Citrus Salmon Tiradito unusual and outstanding. Basil Pesto Crusted Kingklip and Norwegian Salmon were a good choice for mains, and Pistachio Nut Pavlova and Trio of Ice Cream nicely presented deserts.

The saddest salad I've had in a long time. Sesame crumbled chichen was tasty but dry. The avo was mostly rotten, how they even chose to serve it in this state amazes me.
Lovely environment with potential wasted.

Beautiful place with a real country-like feel. A friend took me to breakfast there for my birthday and it was a real treat. We sat outside near the water fountain under the umbrellas and it was gorgeous. We both had the Yoghurt Panacota with fruit, muesli and honey and honestly it was to die for!!! Good service, lots of parking and a lovely ambiance.

Another hidden gem in Johannesburg, in Broadacres. Went to a breakfast with a group of girlfriends. Lovely garden setting. Good service and the breakfast menu was great. Romantic peaceful setting. Must visit.

This is one of our favourite Sunday lunch spots when visiting Johannesburg. Always good quality food and service. Somehow today was not one of their best. Very busy with a n umber of functions and power failure which limited menu offerings and staff seemed flustered and not the service we have been previously accustomed to. No obvious supervision to mange what seemed to be a series of challenges. I think they can do better and somewhat disappointing after several previous visits, with little or no apologies offered.

Great little spot feels like you are on the outside of Johannesburg yet it’s right in the middle! Beautiful setting and really delicious food! Favorite was the corn break served with the breakfasts.

The setting is absolutely beautiful, with beautifully manicured gardens, lush greenery and a pond. As a result, the restaurant is suitable for kids, with ample space to run around and play. However, the food on my most recent visit, was average. I had the lamb shank, which was a small portion, and it was definitely nothing to write home about.

Lovely gem hidden in a car park. When we pulled up my wife pulled a face and said the positive reviews must be wrong- it looks an ugly area. A short walk through an arch takes you from a Jozi shopping center car park to a cape wine estate. Sat by the lake in the shadow of the cake Dutch manor and had lovely food and drink for lunch. Very pleasant indeed.

I discovered this place by going to a wedding reception. Very classy, beautiful setting and great food.
Since then I've gone several times. The outdoor section is stunning! Beautiful gardens with bird life, trees and a dam. Really a beautiful place to go to for peace and tranquility.
I've had the Shakshuka for breakfast twice now, because it's so delicious and spicy with black beans in the recipe, which makes it one of the nicest Shukshuka dishes I've had at a restaurant. The menu is varied and different. The toasted banana bread with honey and cream cheese is to die for. Everything tastes good. The service is never disappointing, no matter where you're hiding in the gardens. The staff is attentive and orders come out quickly.
A must visit.

We hosted the baby shower last week Saturday and we couldn't stop complimenting the beauty and professionalism of the place.What a nice and elegant place to host baby showers or any form of celebration.I have received an excellent customer service from the time I made bookings till the day of the baby shower.The owner of the place and staff exceeded my customer service expectations.They are very friendly, professional and they really know how to take care of their clients.Everything was done in an orderly manner.The food was out of this world, delicious and there was a variety from the menu to choose from.The staff would go out of their way to ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved.Thank you very much for hosting my sister's baby shower and if it was possible, we would do it over and over again.

This was an expensive brunch as I ended up in casualty with food poisoning within three hours of eating the English breakfast. Won't be back unfortunately.
