We normally like spicy food but didn’t see Cambodian food to my liking, until I ordered Merakow. It’s number 72 with “added beef and Gailan.” Most people seem to do take-out, since it’s by the highway, but there is seating and plenty of food/spiciness optional...levels. I’m not sure if they’re open Sundays, but weekdays it’s open to 8:00.More

The Cambodian Noodle King is our favorite restaurant for Asian food in Newmarket. The restaurant has just recently been sold to new owners, but the menu has remained the same with a few new additions, and the old owner is staying on to help out...for awhile to ensure a smooth transition and to keep the recipes authentic. We started off with an order of deep fried spring rolls. They came out "piping hot" and were served with a delicious side of dipping sauce. Full of meat and vegetables, they did not dissapoint. For the main course, my wife ordered the Crispy egg noodles with beef and vegetables and asked to have it cooked in black bean sauce which she loves, (they are extremely accomadating to your desires). The noodles were very tender and the dish had a generous helping of beef and vegetables. My wife rated it a "10". Myself, I ordered the "Fried Thick Egg Noodles with Bean Sprouts, Cabbage, Green Pepper, & Seafood". I have previously ordered a similar dish with Udon noodles and this one was just as great tasting. Again, a generous mix of noodles, seafood and veggies. The new staff is very polite and efficient. The orders come out of the kitchen in a timely manner. We will definately go back to the Cambodian Noodle King.More

I love this restaurant. I regularly order take away from The Noodle King and it never disappoints. The menu is varied, the rice noodles amazing, and the customer service great. I’m always happy to support the independent restaurants, and this is no exception. Somebody has...described their Pad Thai as the best they’ve had outside of South East Asia. I agree.More

My husband has the Rick Special everytime we go. They make it extra spicy for him and it is delicious. Thick shanghai noodles with beef or chicken with a fried egg on top. I have the Pho with meatballs and rare beef. Delicious.

I love heading to the Noodle King. I've been visiting for over 10 years and it's my favourite Asian restaurant in Newmarket. There is always a warm welcome and a pot of tea on arrival. The fried noodles are my favourite. If you want it...a spicier, just ask! I love the varied menu and though I have my favourite dishes, I do try something new from time to time. I'm never disappointed. Family friendly, they welcome young children, mess and all. Looking forward to my next visit!!!More

What a surprise - turns out this unassuming noodle house in a small shopping strip is totally awesome. We went for a mid-afternoon lunch on a Saturday because it was next to our hotel, and were blown away. Very nice owners and good service as...well. Can't wait to go back.More

My husband and I tried this restaurant out for the first time today and we were both impressed with the quality of the food and the service. It was busy, lively, and there was a positive atmosphere. We both ordered noodle bowls (he ordered beef,...I ordered pork wonton) and they were both delicious. Great value for the cost - we'll certainly be coming back!More

We discovered Cambodian Noodle King many years ago when we had relatives staying in the nearby Holiday Inn Express. This restaurant turned out to be a great little addition to our list of affordable, tasty, and reliable restaurants in Newmarket. The owners, cooks, and servers...are all so friendly and accommodating. We are always able to find gluten-free and vegetarian options. Personally, I quite like the vegetarian curry dish when we are here. Moreover, this place is a great option for catering birthday parties, gatherings, etc., when you might like to offer your visitors something besides the standard pizza and vegetable tray. We quite appreciate having Cambodian Noodle King in Newmarket.More

We came to eat on a whim but we were surprised by the simple quality of the food. Not too pricey either, under $20 with a beer (no taps or drafts). Would be worth another visit, if I'm in the neighbourhood. Most of the menu...items also have pictures to help with your selection but the staff are super friendly and can help with any questions. It's behind the a Holiday Inn in Newmarket btw.More
