Good location inside Madrid, but average food and very slow service. In bottom line bad experience and not recommended, there are more opportunities in that area.

This characterful bar/restaurant was a great find in el tiemblo. It has a lovely cosy dining room at the back, and serves up tasty and reasonably priced rustic food. The owner and has wife were happy to accommodate us for an evening meal when they...were officially closed one evening, (a lot of restaurants in the town only serve meals at lunchtime, when locals eat utheir main meal of the day )and we were so pleased with it, we went back another evening. This second time was a Saturday night, and there was no one else eating, but it still had a good atmosphere because the owner and his wife were so kind and friendly. We were told several dishes that were available and chose a range of 3 starters to share, then a main course each. The peppers stuffed with mushroom cream in a pepper sauce, and the grilled large prawns in shells were fantastic, with generous portions. Main course pork fillet and hake were all nicely cooked and again generous portions. The only aspect that could perhaps be improved with the main courses would be to have fresh vegetables, as the peas in the mix of veg served were tinned or frozen. But the overall experience if you're after an authentic local Spanish restaurant at a good price was excellentMore

We had lunch in La Finca on our way to Avila from Madrid and the food was delicious. The menu was reasonably priced (11 euros) and the portions were quite big. We were full. Food was delicious too. It was a bit crowded (it was...Saturday) but so were all the other restaurants in El Tiemblo.More

we walked into a very small bar, stood by it and ordered our tapas.it was adequate but nothing exceptional.l didnt walk further back so cant comment on the possibility of there being some where to eat.lady serving behind the bar was very friendly it was...difficult to comment on the atmosphere as we were the only two in the house.More
