staff is very friendly. The price is fair and the food is good. the service is a little bit slow and we had to wait a while for our meal. But that's ok because nobody needs to be on a rush when you're in alentejo.

The food here was fresh and well seasoned. We ordered polvo alhihno, choco frito and other seafood dishes and they were all excellent. Complimentary olives, bread and olive oil were also of high standard.

I had lunch in this place while visiting Costa Vicentina during my holidays. You will find a variety of seafood dishes not very expensive. The food was average but they need to improve a lot in the service. The people serving there seem not to have any kind of experience serving in a restaurant. The price might reflect that and I had a good lunch any way.

A really good experience, food was delicious. Nice employees and really good service. Not that expensive as i thought it would be as well.

My wife and I were staying on a nearby campsite, and we decided to eat out, as it was Easter weekend, a lot of the places were busy, however we were greeted by a very friendly English speaking waiter, who explained the menu to us. We both chose the cuttlefish, with salad and potatoes. Truly fantastic, he also recommended a white wine which was also good, but the food, OMG, fantastic!!!

After eating at other places in Porto Covo at last we found a simple, reasonable place that sold good Portuguese fare. This mustn't be confused with fast food. If speed is important, go to McDonald's. The octopus with garlic was wonderful as was the fried cuttlefish. We started with a shared plate of prawns and in fact we could have had a shared main course as well. We were the only foreigners there and all the other customers were from the village. Try the lemon mousse for pudding. The menu is only in Portuguese and why the *uc* not, we are in Portugal. But the friendly waiter will help you out.

The weather was not that great so,my boyfriend,my dog and I decided to go to this place to eat some amêijoas a bolhao pato and some shrimps. When we got there the waiter asked if the dog wanted some water and brought a bowl for him! Then we asked for the food and oh joy,it was delicious! We also asked for fries with oreganos and it was really good! The waiters were really nice and thoughtfull and we really enjoyed and recomend it

The place was empty and they have already run out of the dish of the day, almeijoa, etc. We ordered shrimps, they were not fresh and not even cleaned! The only tasty dish was plain rise.

After a number of very positive visits, today I had to leave without completing my meal. After 1h and 10 mins waiting for the food, we witnessed 2 other tables being given the food we'd ordered, after only 10 mins waiting. Avoid at all costs if there are more than 2 tables busy. Disgraceful

We decided to try this place as it seemed very nice (good decor) and had a nice menu. What a disappointment: the service was horrible, they took ages (more than 30 minutes) to collect the request, and then almost 1 hour to serve us two appetizzers and drinks. The worst is that when one of the dishes "camarões à primo xico" arrived the shrimps they used were frozen ones...Even to pay (by the way it was expensive) we gave up waiting and had to go inside to pay. It's such a shame because the concept of the place seemed so nice :S

I know this place since I came to Porto Covo 35 years ago... At that time it was known for it's excellent caldeirada, served in the court/garden behind the restaurant. When we ordered the Polvo no Aldinho, my wife and I really loved it!! So tender, so much taste! Recommended if you like something different and very Portuguese!!

It's a recent restaurant in porto-covo, with a good offer on the menu but it lacks the availability of all the dishes on the menu. The "choco frito" is very good and the service is getting better.

We were walking the Rota Vicentina and noticed this restaurant's terrace as we walked into town. It appealed to us. When the pension manager suggested it for dinner we took it as a sign. We were given a table on this terrace that overlooks the river. Our food was delicious. The restaurant staff were friendly. I had fresh mackeral and my partner had lamb chops. We had the very yummy regional homemade dessert also.
