For those of us who are foreigners living in Italy, the one thing we miss is food variety. Italian food is fresh and tasty, but, compared to other parts of the world, where you might have an Indian, Thai, Greek, Mexican and Ethiopian restaurant within...walking distance, it is difficult to find non-Italian food. So, I saw the sign in PSE that said Smokey's BBQ and jumped for joy, tempered by experience that sometimes Italians don't quite get non Italian food right. As I made my first bite into the St. Louis Pork ribs, all doubt was dispelled. And, the cole slaw is real cole slaw. It isn't dripping in mayo, as I feared. So, now, every chance I get, Smokeys is my first choice. I live about an hour away, so that is about once, every 10 days. The people and the food are great.More

I lived in Porto Sant'Elpidio asa volunteer teacher for 4 weeks and came here 3 times during my stay. The staff was extremely friendly and seemed to genuinely be interested in my travels and hometown in Houston, Texas. The BBQ was tastier and almost more...authentic than even some places in the USA. The only dish I did not LOVE was the fried chicken, but everything else I sampled made me homesick for Texas! (And that's a good thing!)More
