We stopped at Melissa's on the way back from the hot springs (which was not hot on this day) to have a relaxed lunch. It is on the main road just past the soccer field on the left as you head towards the David/Boquete highway...More

Good home cooked food at good prices in a nice setting. We stopped there after biking and hiking to the Hot Springs.

Lovely little restaurant that serves well prepared local food. Portions are big and food is tasty. The owner is lovely and makes you feel welcomed. Definitely worth a stop.

Melissa's is the best restaurant in Caldera and one of the best Panamanian restaurants in Chiriqui. If you went to the hot springs Melissa's is a great place to grab lunch on your way home. If she has the smoked chicken it is really good,...More

Melissa's is pretty much the only place to eat in Caldera, so it's super fortunate that it's also a great place to eat! It's "open-air", but with a cover, so don't worry if it's raining. There's no menu - the sweet woman who took our...More

We ate here probably a dozen times - just kept coming back for more. The food is simple Panamanian dishes - mainly chicken and beef plates/soups at local prices. The dining area is a covered outside area attached to a house, simple yet nicely done...More

There appear to be two restaurants in Caldera, about 20 miles from the more well-known town of Boquete, in Chiriqui Province of Panama. Melissa's is on the main road through town which like most small towns in Panama doesn't have a name or signs. It was recommended by two local ex-pats to me and we found two more ex-pats they knew there this evening.
