Since my last review of The Fresh Onion just over a year ago, I finally had the opportunity to visit them for breakfast. In my earlier review, I raved about the freshness of their food and the fact that everything is made in-house. I still...stand by those words. My only lament is still the same: It saddens me that I cannot visit this place more often. The food they offer here is something different from what most eateries in Prince Rupert serve up, and thus it is a very popular place during breakfast and lunch. During my last visit I tried the mixed fruit crepe for breakfast. It was simple in its construction and presentation, but tasted fantastic. The ratio of crepe to fruit was spot on; the crepe wasn’t overpowered by whipped cream; and, best of all, you could tell that the crepe was house-made and didn’t come from a package (unlike a certain other place in town). After visiting The Fresh Onion for both breakfast and lunch, it’s easy to see why this place is so popular. FOOD: 5/5 SERVICE: 4.5/5 VALUE: 5/5 RECOMMENDATION: If you get a chance to visit this place for breakfast or lunch do yourself a favour and grab a seat. Great food made fresh to order (or they have some quick pre-done wraps, etc in the deli case). As this place is in an office tower I understand they are mainly a breakfast / lunch place during the week. I ate here for lunch and...had a soup and veggie wrap. One of the best veggie wraps I have had. Will certainly eat here again next time I'm in town.More

A friendly local couple steered us to this wonderful cozy place. We shared broccoli-bacon soup, naan bread, and a Mexican flavored chicken salad sandwich. The food was awesome, and the waitresses friendly. Excellent choices for tea. A high point of our rainy day in Prince...Rupert.More
