We ate here twice. Once for lunch and another day we had breakfast. Lovely location with an unspoilt view of the sea and cliffs. It does get rather busy so a short wait is sometimes unavoidable, but is worth it. They have a lovely lunch...More

The Hive Beach Cafe sits overlooking the sea, with lovely views. Its little more than a wooden shack with a plastic gazebo to the side but that adds to the experience, its simple unfussy with lovely fresh food. We had half a lobster with fresh...More

Lovely views a nice picnic spot and the cafe which is busy. This is a national trust site but parking is free to members there’s a beach and walking on the coastal path also a busy cafe for food and drinks and toilets.

The menu is extensive, of excellent quality and good value for money. I have been many times and highly recommend the crab sandwiches.

We stoped here while walking the SW Coastal path (West Bay to Abbotsbury) for a well deserved coffee. We choose to sit outside with the dog but the staff said we were able to take the dog inside which was nice on a blustery day....More

Fantastic location with panoramic views of the whole of Lyme Bay. The food has gone up-market, but if you are not doing lunch, well worth having just a coffee with cake. All food is fresh cooked and much is locally sourced. Particularly good for sea...More

Description
We’re committed to using fresh, locally sourced seafood - when available we serve fish straight from the very shoreline you’ll be eating on. We offer a wide selection of cakes, biscuits and take away treats. All homemade by Melanie and her team at the Hive Beach Micro Bakery based in Burton Bradstock. We’re happy to accommodate large parties of diners and we’re dog friendly but we don’t take reservations so it’s advisable to arrive a little early for lunch as we do get busy! Please check our website for up to date opening hours because we do open for dinner during the spring and summer season. Whilst we do our best to reduce the risk of cross-contamination in our restaurants, we cannot guarantee that any of our dishes are free from allergens and therefore cannot accept any liability in this respect. We urge customers with any form of allergies to assess their own level of risk and consume dishes at their own risk. Please ask to speak to the chef on duty if you are in need of any assistance in this regard
