About
We’re committed to using fresh, locally sourced seafood - when available we serve fish straight from the very shoreline you’ll be eating on. We offer a wide selection of cakes, biscuits and take away treats. All homemade by Melanie and her team at the Hive Beach Micro Bakery based in Burton Bradstock. We’re happy to accommodate large parties of diners and we’re dog friendly but we don’t take reservations so it’s advisable to arrive a little early for lunch as we do get busy! Please check our website for up to date opening hours because we do open for dinner during the spring and summer season. Whilst we do our best to reduce the risk of cross-contamination in our restaurants, we cannot guarantee

Shamed about the food I had and was disappointed with 4 little queen scallops and bitter after taste crab sauce (crab linguine). The whole dish was luke warm! Will give it another go because the staff were friendly and efficient!

Without doubt one of the very best seafood restaurants on Dorset coast. Don't be fooled by the looks, not your average restaurant building but great atmosphere and superb range of dishes any time of the day. Bank Holidays/Weekends very busy situated almost right on the...More

It really is worth quite a lot to eat with such a spectacular view ( even in January!) and the fish is excellent.Service on this occasion fell a little short - i.e. a little slow and perhaps over stretched even for this relatively quiet time.Generally...More

The Hive Beach Café is so much more that a café. A Deli. A gastro for breakfast lunch or dinner. Go inside and be greeted, find a table in the awning overlooking the beach and seat with its wonderful heater in winter. To explore the breakfast,...More

We have been here many times over the years, and though it has changed over that time not everything is better. The Farmer's Breakfast has got more expensive for a lot less, and sometimes comes out tepid. It's also all very well having table service...More

Always excellent food, coffee and service. Live locally with my family & visit regularly. The fish & chips is a particular favourite!

Went here on a fairly cold day and it was nice to sit in but with a nice view. Ordered the wood fired pizza and the local hive beer and we enjoyed both very much.

After a bracing walk on the cliffs, all I wanted was a coffee and scone, and Hive Beach Cafe can do both well. But, on Sunday morning at 11am, it's chaos as usual. Plenty of staff but no one wants to help and, despite offering...More

Hello Jill... All menus by law have to state what ingredients are used in the development of each dish. They should also indicate what items are gluten free. As the menu is mainly fish based, there is a good chance that... More

Yes they do. We took our golden retriever in with us earlier in March when we had lunch and others had dogs too. You just need to keep them on a short lead as the tabes are close together. They sell posh dog biscuits in the... More
