At Benazuza Restaurant we look to innovate through original recipes. We intend to surprise you with a different style throughout the large restaurant options in Cancun. Therefore, our Chef has developed a unique menu that allows you to experience "molecular" cuisine in an environment where the food becomes the protagonist of the evening. In Benazuza you will find a modern cuisine with Mexican influences. I was lucky enough to experience fine dining at Benazuza in February 2020. From booking the reservation, throughout the whole dining experience, to signing the guest book, the staff were amazing, accommodating and were part of why this experience was so memorable. I had heard that this is one of the best restaurants in Mexico, (from a few employees) and I could not agree more. It was traditional Mexican cuisine mixed with fine dining. From my understanding, each night the menu changes based on availability of fresh ingredients and the chefs inspiration. Which alone was intriguing. It is a small restaurant that only takes a handful of reservations at a time. The staff were gratuitous and delightful, knowledgeable and so welcoming.
Now the best part. THE FOOD.
If you like traditional Mexican flavours or not. This food was unbelievable. We started out with a beautiful beverage and sipping snacks, then went straight into 6 appies, 3 mains and 3 desserts. Each item served was handcrafted, creative, artistic, full of flavour, fresh and made with such precision and technique. There was food combinations I would have never thought would have tasted good together, yet somehow they perfectly melted in your mouth, hit every flavour profile on your pallet and left you thinking, WOW. That was amazing.
The menu is not posted before your meal, yet given as a token at the end of your dining experience. I honestly was hesitant about this at first but now looking back, If I would have read a menu item stating “white chocolate, cheese beef and carrot” along with the other ingredients in many of the dishes, I may have hesitated making a reservation since it was out of my comfort zone.
I’m grateful I trusted the amazing staff, talented and creative chef and I enjoyed my dining experience exponentially.
I would HIGHLY recommend. I wish I could share this experience with my friends and family at home.

We couldn't have had a better end to our 5 day trip in Cancun. The service was impeccable and the food was stellar. I'm vegan and each meal was made vegan for me in a moments notice as I only mentioned that when we arrived for our reservation. One of the friends I was with is allergic to nuts and fish and they perfectly accommodated for her meals for her as well. The food was included in our all inclusive pass and we only paid for any alcohol pairings. Chef Ignacio, Manager Rudy, Gerardo, Florentino, Alan, and Daniel were all amazing. Thank you for such a great experience!

Benazuza serves a 22 course meal of incredibly beautiful, creative, and delicious small plate foods - cocktails, appetizers, sides, entrees, and desserts. I am not easily impressed. I was totally impressed. I don’t know the cost of the meal as it was part of our all-inclusive package, but it was worth the time. The waitstaff, Gerardo, Luis, Fiorentino, Daniel, Alan, Antonio, Alberto, Miguel, and Luis G are impeccably trained, intuitive and executed the highly orchestrated experience magnificently. The manager Rudy is delightful and welcoming. Chef Jesus is brilliant! Upon my husband telling them that he dislikes pineapple, he was served special versions of each course that contained pineapple. He told them this at the beginning of the meal and Chef Jesus was nimble enough to accommodate him. This was the very best meal I have ever had!

So I was really excited to check out Benazuza as part of my Pyramid Package. This and Black Hole are very difficult to reserve so I was fortunate to get both on my short 5 day stay. One of the reasons I stayed at the resort was because a select few of the best restaurants here were all rated so highly. Needless to say I was not impressed at all and I am rather shocked at how amazing the reviews are.
In any event, as everyone else has said it's a 22 bite size tasting menu where all drinks not part of the dinner (including water) require an upcharge. I can understand the alcohol and soft drinks, but even water is extra? That's not cool.
Look the staff is really good, the concept is unique, but it just wasn't executed well at all. And unlike black hole where the food was outstanding, the flavors were lacking in nearly every dish.

The restaurant Benazuza is world-class with a 22 course tasting menu at a reasonable price. The service and food were remarkable. The bar opens the evening with one of a kind "edible" drinks. The food is fusion Asian and Mexican with each dish perfectly prepared, Overall it is in the class of two star Michelin restaurants at a quarter the price. Regardless of where you stay, it's worth going for dinner. You won't be disappointed.

I visited this location recently. Every server had a strong knowledge of what we were eating and the meaning behind each dish. Atmosphere was perfect and the head chef came to thank us to end our evening. Without a doubt this is worth the extra cost you pay and I would absolutely go back again.

This is the best restaurant experience I have ever had. The food and service was unbelievable. From the manager seating us, to the waiters exceptional service, to the head chef coming out to our table to describe the dishes he had prepared for us. Benazuza was not just about the food but the overall experience. They completely exceeded my groups expectations and provided our best night out in Mexico. You must try this place out if you are ever in Cancun!

Hats of to the entire staff at Benazuza! The manager Rudy, the chef Jesus, and the wait staff of Laura, Florentino, Daniel, Luis, Alan, Luis Gamboa, Alberto, Miguel and especially to our waiter Antonio. We were welcomed right away into the cocktail bar area, after that we started the experience in a group setting with the other people who had reservations. We had the most beautiful samplings of alcohol infused fruits, drinks and even had a dessert that we made an ice cream ball using liquid ice!! Then once we were done there we were escorted to our table where we were served a 21 course meal- yes, 21 different small courses! We also purchased their wine special where you get 4 glasses of wine that are served with the dishes that they pair best with throughout the dinner. Definitely worth the extra money! The staff was so welcoming, courteous, professional and accommodating. This is an experience like no other, highly recommend!!

A journey to remember thru the Mexican gourmet gastronomy. From the greeting the experience starts. Then a stop at Benazuza bar, an out of this world experience, from the whiskey to the white chocolate fusion with Mezcal. Then heading to the table where Benazuza’s professional staff takes you on a gastronomic journey thru Mexico’s most famous and earthy ingredients. They end their gastronomic tour at Jalisco giving you the best mezcal gummy bears and churros. Their taste and flavors it’s a homenage to the Mexican roots. I would say that their professional service when educating us on the Mexican gastronomy was a total educational experience. They excel on taking care of the guests and made me feel like family.
I would say that would stay in the Pyramid again just to have the opportunity to eat again at Benazuza. I would say that Benazuza it’s the staple restaurant at the Pyramid.
Please keep doing the great work on customer service and education to all your guests.

It starts out at a bar with a few other guests. You indulge in amazing specialty “cocktails”. Some are frozen with dry ice and others are “gel” cocktails. Right from that moment you know you are in for an experience. The restaurant is small enough to know it is going to be special. It’s a tasting menu with over 20 courses. They advise you how to eat and what order to ensure the flavors coincide with the experience. All the waiters work together to offer superior service. This is an experience that if you have the opportunity you MUDT indulge.

I recently visited Cancun with a couple friends in February, and was recommended this restaurant by quite a few people. You need to make reservations 24 hours ahead but the process of doing that was quite easy to do. Laura Miguel Luis Antonio Alberto Alan Florentino and Daniel were absolutely amazing. They were so attentive and entertaining, which made our dining experience so pleasant. The food was so tasty and the presentation was beautiful. Definitely a must when you visit this resort.

Benazuza was a great experience!!! We really liked almost all 20 of the courses they served us, and they were so friendly. We were served by Emilio, Florentino, Alan, Gerardo, and Daniel, and the manager was Rudy. You could tell it was a little difficult for them to describe every dish in English, but they did it anyways — we were very impressed. They also accommodated for my pescatarian diet, other than a few drops of a sausage sauce on one of the dishes, which I was able to avoid. We loved getting to keep a copy of the menu afterwards so we could remember what we ate. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice, but you can definitely feel that you’re in a hotel. The food and service, though, goes above and beyond. Definitely go to Benazuza!!

We had a phenomenal experience here for our birthdays. Laura, florentino, Alan, Daniel, Luis, Alberto, Antonio, Luis Gambia and Miguel provided incredible service that felt extremely personalized. The food was exceptional and they were very helpful in handling my peanut and treenut allergy. One of the best dinner experiences I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend.

What a one of a kind experience! As you enter you are greeted by highly experienced staff that are welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is wonderful and unexpected on a resort. Come dressed up for a fancy dinner. The staff are polished, polite and make the overall dining experience!! I can’t thank Pablo, Juan, Francisco, Jorge, Emilio, Victor and Grecia enough!
As you start your meal we were given suggestions for wine pairings that would compliment the food to come. My advice is to listen well and take the suggestions, the red wine was delicious! As a tasting menu, each dish comes out beautifully prepared set against a well matched dish for a backdrop appropriate to the history of the type of food bringing it into the future of Mexican cuisine.
The meal cadence was just enough to allow for enjoyment of each bite. Just when you think that you may be getting full the tempo changes. The mood of the food changes and the experience dives deeper. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and learning more about it as well. It has inspired us to learn more about Mexican cuisine and the history behind it.
Expect the unexpected, your eyes may deceive you. This experience was unforgettable and I highly recommend that you put it first on your to do list if you come to CancĂşn.
