What a great place to stay. Everything was very good. Comfortable beds, great shower, clean rooms, delightful hosts, fantastic food, cold artesanel beer, and an extensive wine list. The breakfast was the best we have ever had in Spain. The owner drove us to Potes...and picked us up several hours later. We cannot thank him enough. Thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay. We stayed 2 nights.More

By far the best food we had on our two week trip to Spain. We actually talked to two other couples on our hike who saw us there at dinner and said they came from other hotels because the food at Hostel Remona was so...good. Locally sourced and delicious.More

Restaurant located in the middle of Picos de Europa (Cantabria side) very close to the village Fuente De. The restaurant has a good menu and they serve local cuisine. The staff is very friendly and look after the children. They have a “km0” tap water...from a local manantial, which it is a nice water although a bit expensive 2,2€ per 750 ml. No Free refill Croquettes are delicious and fry egg with chorizo is nice, the one with “serrano ham” is not worthy. Cocido - it is serves in 2 phases, first is the soap with “fideos”. The taste of it is just great however the fideos are over cooked so they are not good. The last part, the chickpeas and “compango”. They are all local products and good quality Dessert- coffee and white chocolate “flan” must be always one of your choices. Just brilliant! Cheesecake is nice however you will find better one in this area.More

My family and I finally got to try the cocido lebaniego in this Cantabrian institution. The result: our expectations were more than exceeded. It was strange time to visit, in the middle of a global pandemic, so we actually enjoyed it even more than in...usual circumstances. Normally I would give a longer review, but I will just say this: it is the best cocido un Cantabria. I have tried many restaurants in my region, so has my Canadian family....and we have not been impressed by any of them as much as this one in particular. I'm talking about dozens of restaurants(we like our cocido in this family:)). On top of the extraordinary quality of the food, the service and attention was impeccable. Every aspect of our visit was thoroughly enjoyed. We can't wait to go back. Thanks again Peña Remoña.More

We enjoyed the place, most of the rooms where recently renovated. People very kind and the food, included on the pack, was also very and varied.

Eat here - this was the best restaurant we ate in during our holidays where we travelled around the north of Spain. Lots of variety of traditional Spanish foods. Superb quality.

We had dinner without reservation on an autumn Friday night and the service was quick and friendly. If you are looking for typical Cantabrian food, this is your place: good real salads, lots of cheese, lots of cheese, homemade desserts and one of Spanish star...dishes, homemade croquettes. It is one of those places where you feel that you are at your grandma's house. We also tried a great colourful variety of shots, which were not very strong but not my cup of tea, either. The price was adequate.More

2 night stay in Espinama. First night ate in Vincente Campo restaurant. No 1 on TripAdvisor but hurried and very average. 2nd night tried Hostal Romona. Had a drink with locals in the bar while waiting 15 minutes for a table. Although staff had little...English they were extremely friendly and helpful. Had set menu which was still available in the evening. All local dishes so be careful with the translation and what you order! I really enjoyed my chorizo with beans starter and veal casserole main with plenty of red wine to wash it down. My wife is less adventurous so had salad with quail which she really enjoyed. The combination of food and welcoming staff made it a great evening meal. 11 out of 10 in my books.More

We entered this restaurant for a diner and we used the menu of the day. Their service was very good, as well as the food. However, their red wine (tintin) a pilgrim labeled (cost 2 Eur in the supermarket) did not taste good. (Me no...gousto -I do not like it in Spanish). The dishes were very good (four different dishes and all of them were fine). Highly recommended if you are nearby.More
