There’s a total of 5 flavours sold - plain/ chocolate / sweet potato in one counter and in the second counter, aged cheese and almond. It’s sold by weight so each flavour is bagged and weighed separately for your total
Bill. If u want a try, I would just go for almond and aged cheese - there is zero queue on that counter (need not line up in the maddening line). In my opinion, the two are the best anyway. The plain is also excellent, but the queue line isn’t worthwhile. Sweet potato is a novelty but not mind blowing. Chocolate is good but ordinary. So skip the line, head straight for the other counter for just the aged cheese and almond versions and you’ll have the best of.

I saw this bakery featured by many bloggers and vloggers and wanted to try their pastries. They mainly sell croissants that come with a number of different flavor. The queue was long but it moved rather fast. It’s just a simple take-away kiosk so there were no seats. We bought them and eat standing before the shop. It was definitely baked fresh at the store and the outside of the croissant was very flaky and inside fluffy. It had a very buttery taste and smell to it. We ordered to share so that we could have room for a main meal after trying. Convenient location, right inside the JR station. It’s popular among the locals as well seeing them in the queue. Reasonable priced.

We saw the queue and smelled the aroma while going through Hakata station. We queued up and got the standard and chocolate mini croissants - 1 portion has about 3 pieces. They were delicious; for me, I prefer the chocolate croissants.

It is a small croissant, it is good, because they serve it hot and fresh, you will convince to try one because of curiosity of a long queue. I think the French and Italian versions are the best.

As soon as you enter Hakata Station, you smell bread baking and when you follow where it originates, you are led to this store which always has a long line of buyers. My favorite is the one with Mentaiko. My grandchildren’s favorite is the chocolate croissants.

The smell of croissants from the shop permeates through the station as you walk closer to it, just across from Seattle coffee. 100g for about 200 yen, there’s original, chocolate and sweet potato varieties. All are rather sweet unlike buttery French Melt in your mouth croissants I was expecting. More customised to local tastes.

The smell of bread being baked as you enter Hakata Station will lead you to Il Forno Del Mignon where there are long lines waiting to buy freshly baked croissants. My favorite is the one with Mentaiko but my grandchildren loved the chocolate ones. Everyday, while we were in Fukuoka, we lined up for our days supply of croissants. We even took home some so other members of our family can sample it.

I read about this place before going and thought it would be overrated, but the smell draws you in. It’s cheap and super delicious. I ended up buying bread there every time I was at the station. Don’t be scared of the line because you the staff there have everything automatic. Longest I waited was not even a full minute and the line was long. It’s nothing special, but yet it’s totally satisfying. Cheap and worth it! I recommend eating the croissants hot or warm.

As our hotel is near the Hakata station we spend a lot of time around the area, or walking through the station. It was the queue that got our interest piqued and we went to investigate why people were queuing up. The queue goes on the whole day, morning, afternoon and even; at 9:30 pm there was still a very Long queue.
We decided to try the croissants to see for ourselves if they were that amazing. The lady ahead of us told us there are three flavours- plain, chocolate and sweet potatoes.
We tried all three flavours and it is up to the individual tastes. I liked the sweet potatoes version, and a friend preferred chocolate while yet another said the plain version was best. We did agree in unison we didn’t understand the queue and the excitement. Perhaps it is open Long hours and located at the station so it is easy for people to purchase and take home. Also the very reasonable price could be an attraction.

Many bakeries make croissants in Japan but this little cubicle inside the station of Hakata smells of sweet sugar and caramel. Try the sweet potato croissants and don't get scared by Q: the staff are fast to bag your treats. Sales after 8pm when a bag of croissants sell for 40%less circa.

Honestly I don't know why too many people wait to buy croissants here. Not special and flavor. I think bakery shops like this are nearby your location, anywhere, everywhere...

We passed this outlet a number of times at the station and always wondered what was the deal with the long waiting lines. The place serves 3 different types of small croissants - plain, chocolate and sweet potato (from the other posts apparently this flavour varies by the day). You by them in bulk, weigh them and then pay. They were OK but to our taste was a bit dry. It’s a nice snack but wouldn’t line up for a long time just to eat them.

You can't missed it when you're in hakata station. First you'll wander towards the smell and then you see the line ! It moves pretty quick though. I got the choc and sweet potato mini croissants. Totally yums! The pastry was crispy and flaky. Size is just nice with the hint of choc and sweet potato fillings not overwhelming the buttery pastry.

I still remember that I bought this croissant to celebrate my first parttime job salary. I really love its smell and how good it is to eat it while it still hot. Unfortunately it tastes weird if I reheat it in microwave....
And the most important thing: IT IS CHEAP!!

Nice mini croissant! Love the chocolate flavor! Worth to queue up for it! The shop js located in the Fukuoka JR station, you can smell the butter when you walk inside the building and will see a long queue in front of the shop. They have several flavors and just try it all! You won't regret!
