We were looking for seafood place and chanced upon this place, Taipei Fish Market. There are outdoor standing area and sitting areas whereby you could select the live seafoods and then feast it on the spot. We went to the standing sushi bar. Service staff...were many but their service were abrupt and rushed. They do not accept credit cards and payment is by cash. We found it odd that such a place do not accept credit card. Afterall, the bill could be substantial if we went with a bigger group. There were three of us and we ordered the seafood set. It came with tuna, abalone, clam, prawn, oysters, crab legs(cooked), sushi set of six and a blow of hot soup. We added beef skewers and half a dozen oysters. The bill is less than SGD$280. The seafood were very fresh and the beef were tender. Oysters were also fresh and delicious. Overall, our best Japanese seafood meal for our trip!More

The old market has been converted into a nice restaurant. You select your raw ingredients, which as well as various types of fish, also includes live king crab (some of the largest I’ve seen), meats and vegetables. They are then prepared and barbecued for you;...each table has its own hot stone barbecue to keep the food warm. Some nice beer as wellMore

Taipei Fish Market has good and fresh seafood. I like sashimi, sushi, japanese rice with salmon and tobiko and beef steak. It's not expensive.

Went twice in a long weekend. Had super superfresh sushi and seafood at the standing restaurant in the middle of the market. There is also a restaurant with seats and service outside the market in the same building with seafood and meat from the grill....We decided to go to the sushi bar.More

A huge seafood market. Lots to eat and buy. Pricing is high but depends on what you buy from the seafood market. Fresh seafood is expensive, packed and ready to eat ones are more economical and practical for the tourists. Only standing for eating your...food. A big tourist and local draw.More

We‘ve been with a group of six in the evening. Great to stroll around seeing the fish & seafood alive. Many occasions inside the market to eat with a restaurant just beside. Also great meat is served. Perfectly served on plates to share. Strongly to...be recommended. Would definately come back.More

This beautiful market provides delicious fresh seafood and a great atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity that you receive. You can also get grilled fish items and they have a miso fish soup. There is beer and wine and sake. If...you go to little bit early you shouldn’t have to wait for a spot at the bar, it’s all standing. We did see them provide crates for kids to stand on. You can also buy food for takeaway.More
