Visited many times with our friends and always had great food and friendly service. Today was no exception and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunchtime visit and can highly recommend the pork and apple burger, which was served with gorgeous wedges and a nice side salad....Service here is always unrushed and unobtrusive. The staff in the farm shop section are also lovely and extremely helpful.More

Had a very nice first visit over weekend after recently moving to the area. Dog friendly inside and out. Staff all seem to really love dogs, bringing them treats. Few more vegan options would be great was explained to that meals could be adapted however.

Excellent food. Very busy as visited on a Saturday. Staff were courteous and efficient. Beautiful quiche served with large salad and potato wedges . Much more than I expected. Lovely gift / farm shop. Will definitely visit again.

Having read that Uncle Henry’s was dog friendly we took our dog and sat outside. I went in to ask for menus to be told I was sitting in the wrong place and dogs were only allowed in the upper part of the courtyard. There...are no signs saying that. The staff member handing over the menus simply looked as if she didn’t want to be there. scrambled eggs were over cooked and dry and brought out by the same staff member who, instead of actually looking at the number we had placed on the table simply shouted. Overpriced with poor customer service.More

Just had a wonderful day out at Uncle Henry's. We went 2 adults and three 6 year olds. The children thoroughly enjoyed all the activities and said it was the best day! As adults it was entertaining and fun watching the children finding the clues...and running through the trails. Lots to do and a lovely day I would highly recommend Uncle Henry's.More

My daughter and granddaughter took us for Mother’s day afternoon tea. My granddaughter ordered the junior roast beef dinner instead. The afternoon tea looked lovely. We had different sandwich fillings, a mini quiche, sausage roll, crisps and a little salad. The sandwiches were fresh and...tasty. The pastry on quiche and sausage roll was a bit thick – it would have been so much nicer if it had been warmed up. We had a scone with clotted cream & jam. I felt that a mini jar of jam between 2 people was not enough! The scone was light and fluffy however. The cakes were gorgeous; a chocolate brownie, raspberry meringue and vanilla cupcake. We had a mixture of tea’s and coffee. I would have liked more tea or some hot water to top up the tea-pot when it became stewed. My granddaughter’s roast beef dinner turned out to be pork! She had plenty of vegetables but did not eat the meat (because she wanted beef)! We had to ask for cutlery and a napkin for her and we also had to remind the waitress about her drink that did not arrive! All in all it was very enjoyable but a bit more attention to detail would have made it perfect. We would visit again.More

I had pre-booked a table for two for lunch today at 12-noon. The member of staff greeting us on arrival was friendly and smiling but unfortunately that cannot be said for the other members of staff. They were perfectly polite, but their demeanour was generally...unwelcoming and brusque. We had to place and pay for our orders at the counter once we had been seated (which was not made totally clear on our arrival). The food, when it arrived, was hot, well presented and very tasty. We then had to go back to the counter to order and pay for our desserts. Again, the desserts were extremely good and generously portioned, but again the staff gave the marked impression that they had better things to do, rather than to "serve" us. The room is perfectly clean and we saw staff disinfecting tables that other customers had vacated, but the atmosphere is not particularly warm and/or cheery which intensified the impression of feeling unwelcome, which is a great shame. So: food = really good : ambience and comfort = none.More
