We where three friends going after a great evening. We choose Sandseele on Reichenau in Lake Constance. What a hit, right in the center of the bulls eye. Great food and even greater people. Besides a phenomenally brilliant sunset and beach feel. My god, just...great. Go there!More
Stayed one night in the tent area with another dozen of tents. Basically inside this area there is also a small private ground. We couldn't sleep the whole night because of a party and kindly asking to stop it around 1:30am we got no result....Reported the fact to the owner and the answer has been "I am busy". It didn't look as something happening for the first time. Asked for a refund and the answer has basically been "none of my business".More
It is open only during summer, between May and August. Very good food for good prices and you enjoy your food directly at the lake beach. Very nice view, you dont have to stay at the camping place to eat there you can come and...park the car (for free) and also use the beach. There is one shower but still everything free of charge. I love going there and enjoy the food and the view swimm a bit. The Reichenau is called the fruits and vegetables Island because there you can find many farm of bio food and you xan buy things directly from samll shops of framer. the island of Reichenau was a nice discover, we travelled to the near Kostanz when we spot the unesco sign heading toward Reichenau. The island itself is really good for its mix of open air activity, mainly biking, and the cultural environment. Probably one of the best sunsets at the Lake of Constance. This restaurant used to be really excellent esp for fish. Service was always a problem but this year also the quality of the food has really deteriorated and the choice also is limited. What...a shame!More

Stayed on the campsite in August, it was very busy but very well run and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The pitch were we stayed (unmarked) was near the recycling but there was no smell or noise. Restaurant busy but the food was beautiful...and fresh and catered for vegetarian needs. Stunning location and an absolute must for families who wish to explore the near by countries. Only one minus - mosquito, and they unfortunately limited out time out of an evening .More
I have returned to this restaurant a few times over the years and have yet to be disappointed. Prices are fair and the self service system actually makes sense. The biggest challenge is to get a table as you cannot reserve and simply have to...lie in wait for a table to become available. But even if you don't get one you can just eat on one of the benches near the restaurant.More
Eat here several times whilst staying at the Sandseele camp site. It's a location to die for, with views over Lake Constance (Bodensee), which is particularly renowned for its spectacular sunsets. The restaurant is hectic throughout the day, with a large counter where you place...your food and drink orders. The staff behind the counter are very helpful and friendly. The menu is pinned up on a series of boards outside the restaurant - it may sound a bit chaotic, but the food itself is great, with delicious fish from the lake and fresh vegetables from the island of Reichenau. The local secco from the island is recommended.More
