Delicious food & great service. They had homemade Kombucha & pickled vegetables. Fantastic place to visite. We recommend it.

Excellent food and friendly service. We had trout served with small potatoes. The chef who is also one of the owners is an artist that likes to use herbs that grow freely in the nature. Absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this place is you value...fresh and healthy food.More

Hvonn restaurant is linked to Hotel Skalholt which is situated on the Golden Circle. The restaurant and Hotel are family run and the service is personal and wonderful. The meals are both creative and delicious. They offer meat, fish and vegetarian options of fresh ingredience...from the nearby area. The restaurant is set in a sort of a retro building with a glass roof on one part. There is a wine plant and pink flowers blooming above your head which creates a cozy environment. A few steps from the restaurant is a cathedral that is worth visiting. This is a nice stop if you want a calm and friendly meal on your trip around the Golden Circle.More

This place is truly special. It’s a beautiful space co-owned by the chef, a pioneer in using international techniques to revive and revolutionize the use of local ingredients. We had a soup made out of foraged herbs from the field next door, and it was...absolutely delicious. The chef is passionate about the quality of the food, and it showed. The bread and salad were also homemade/grown and delicious. Stop by for a light lunch and a chat and you won’t be disappointed!More

Excellent service and food, unique experience. Had lamb as a main course and it was amazing. This place is a hidden gem and worth stopping visiting golden circle.

After a long day of hiking, my friends and I decided to stop by this establishment and we were not disappointed. Food present belonged in a museum, and it tasted better than it looked. Skaholt restaurant is a must in Iceland.

This is a quaint restaurant with the most accommodating owners. The food was fabulous and very welcoming. When in Iceland visit GG and her cousin you will be glad you did.
