Excellent meal. Great service by friendly staff, and they coped well despite being busy. We are all vegetarian and found that there was plenty of choice, and we enjoyed the dishes arriving a few at a time. The homemade peanut brittle which arrived with the bill topped off a really enjoyable meal. Lovely setting on the harbour side too.

I usually want to eat the whole menu in Greece. Luckily the Greek invented a thing for it, mezes! They are small dishes comparable to tapas. Try the anchovies octopus but defenitly also some of the vegitarian or meat dishes. Everything is fantastic and tastes great. Sadly there are not that many people on the island at the moment and tourism isnt really booming. So not all tables were full. But we were treated like guest should be completely conform the greek Xenia(hospitality). Zeus would be proud!

This is one of the best places I have ever been to. The view is to the city on one side and the sea on the other side is mesmerising. The fishers park their small boats next to you. The food is an amazing and very wide variety. The service is great, very friendly people and they are nice with kids. We have been to this place almost half of the time we were in Lesbos. The owner uses some of her profit to help refugees in Lesbos.

Visited this restaurant. The service was appalling. Very rude indeed. Was asked to move tables twice to make room for a larger group of diners. In the end they squeezed me in very tightly between some very loud Germans to the point I could hardly move my elbows to eat my mean properly. It was so bad an experience I stormed out after throwing my money down on the table and had my dessert at another taverna close by. Never ever again will I visit this establishment - a truly awful experience. One of the worst dining experiences ever. Had better service at a truck tuck shop off the A30 in the UK.

Sadly this place is up for sale summer 2023 and boy does it show! In previous years we have enjoyed fabulous, traditional Greek food here but this summer were disappointed with the medeocrity of it all and the 'dont care' attitude. Give it a miss this year and fingers crossed its sold on to an attentive owner who cares and will tajke it forward. You cant beat the setting down by the fishing boats at the port. Gets very very crowded high summer in this area......

I love a meal of meze when you are unsure of what to have - the waiters were very helpful recommending the amounts to eat - we had salted sardines, kalamari,spinach croquettes,lamb chops , prawns and some mushrooms a la grecque and some fava . The complimentary peanut brittle is a nice touch . Hope to return again during our holiday

This eatery is the best we have experienced in Molyvos. The food is excellent, their octopus is the best in the entire harbour. There is a wide variety of traditional meals but also enough to experience something new such as their own Captain's dip. Be sure to try the smoked mackerel. Plus, the restaurant offers gluten- and lactose-free options! A traditional meze such as Calamari can be gluten-free upon request. All dishes are incredibly fresh, came to the table quickly and were brought by enthusiastic staff. Last but not least: fishermen moor in the harbor after their day at sea, so you have a front row seat to experience this spectacle! In short, don't miss this restaurant when you visit Molyvos.

We visited Captain's Table et the end of a 3 week cruising trip around the Northern Islands. We had enough seafood by then so we went for non-sea food dishes such as village sausages, pancetta, mushrooms and potatoes. We enjoyed them all together with some ouzo! The owner and members of his family run the restaurant together and they speak perfect English. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed great traditional meze food, the specials were exceptional, being grilled octopus, large prawns and the local spinach. I was once advised to avoid the specials in restaurants, this advice is misplaced at the Captains Table. The staff were knowledgeable, efficient and good humoured. A great place to enjoy an evening by the harbourside.

Nicely located restaurant by the harbor. Unfortunately we were just too late for xe sunset. It's beautiful every time. The idea is that you all share small dishes with each other. Normally we like to do that when we eat out to taste more different dishes. This concept therefore fits well with our family. The food was delicious and the service good. They're doing their best to make contact. You're not a number here. Recommended

We ate here on a Sunday night, 3 days before we leave, we really wish we had eaten here sooner. The food (Greek Meze) was fantastic and the service excellent, very friendly and helpful. We may visit again before we leave in 2 days, it really was that good!!

We return to this restaurant year on year and were so pleased to be able to again this year, as always it lived up to our expectations!
Also this time we were lucky enough to be able to spend a few days in their Grand View Houses in the village, which were also incredible.
The family/team at Captains Table are wonderful; helpful, fun and friendly. Great with the children (and adults alike) giving the place a great atmosphere for the evening.
The food is delicious, lots of small plates that are fabulous to share. The village bread with fava dip, ladotyri saganaki, sea bass and banoffee pie are our personal favourites, but I’m yet to find something we dislike.
Never been disappointed, a definite family favourite and we will be back as soon as we can be!

That serve delicious greek mezze dishes.
We love the marinated ansjovis.. the ajuka… the salads… the dips… well we just like everything on the menu

Really nice food, lots of vegetarian options, everything we ordered was delicious, had some stuff that was a bit different from the usual Greek fayre in tourist restaurants. Lovely staff, beautiful location. Highly recommended

Stunning spot and fabulous food. This restaurant specialises in small plates ’meze’ they recommend 5-6 dishes per couple and have a wide selection of traditional and modern favourites. We had the best calamari I have ever tasted. We only wish we had discovered this restaurant on the first night of our holiday rather than our last one
