One of the best fish tavernas we have tried in Lefkada. The location is beuatiful and is quite easily accessible. Correct prices and excellent value for money. In full season (especially august) it's better to make a reservation.

This is our default dinner place in Lygia. Tried several similar establishments in the neighborhood and none come close. It is a combination of the food quality (just right, fresh, simple but with unexpected twists of taste and presentation), location( right on the water with...neighbourhood cats strolling by), service (straightforward and friendly) and pricing (appropriate and expected) that make this place so perfect. Choose anything on the menu and you will be pleasantly surprised. Our favorites include the Kaniornia salad, black squid risotto, fresh grilled grouper and practically everything else. The local wine is reasonably priced and pairs perfectly with the menu. Treat yourself to a bottle of the home made liquor after a small serving of it is presented as a digestif at the end of the meal.More

We have been returning to this taverna every time we visit the island, especially whenever we don't feel like risking eating a bad meal. They have never disappointed us! Even though they call themselves a taverna, you should consider that they are not like all...the other tavernas. More so are they a restaurant with traditional greek/lefkadian cuisine,often served with a twist. So if you what you want is a load of cheap food thown on a plate, don't bother going to Kanioria. The food they present is meticulous and the short menu is only the first indication to that. Ask for the fresh catch/dish, they are always honest to tell you. The owners are actually really kind. Last time we were there, were we a party of 30(!) and every single one of us loved the food! That tells a lot and I was glad that my favourite place in Lefkada could satisfy all different palettes.More

When entering the staff was a bit restrained. We hadn’t made a reservation so got a table half in and half outside the restaurant. The best places are along the beach. The menu has more than enough to choose from. Prices are reasonable though above...the competition. Location is awesome.More

The food is more expensive compared to other local restaurants while the food was bland. Not sure why this restaurant has been getting good reviews at all. After telling our Greek friends about our experience (as we went there by mistake), they couldn't stop laughing...about it. Apparently, local Greeks know about this place. On top of that, the service wasn't particularly great either. It seemed the waiters were having a row with the chef or owner on that day.More

We visited Lefkada for a 2nd year in a row and one of the main reasons for this decision was this particular tavern. You can taste Lefkadian history and tradition in every one of its dishes carefully prepared and served on you table from the...most friendly staff on the island. I cannot recommend enough this place as I prepare myself to come back next year, and the year after and the year after that.More

One of our best meals ever from the get-go. We reserved a place at the very last minute and were told we would have to sit on the balcony, one row away from the sea side tables. When we got there we were given a...table next to the sea on the undertaking that we would finish our meal by 10.30 PM. And the food that followed was just too good. The service was also superb - just two servers handling a full restaurant with panache. The restaurant ticks all the boxes. A must-visit.More
