Despite not being v busy the service was a tad slow. The staff were v helpful but seemed to struggle with the language and comprehension on occasion. The food was ok. The wagyu burger was served with a pile of chips but no salad and...the bun was soggy. No thought given to presentation. The Hunters Chicken was served in a pasta/soup bowl…why? It just made it difficult to eat. It was described as ‘chicken supreme’ but was actually a chicken portion with the bone. The broccoli and bacon were also slightly undercooked. The red velvet cheesecake and cream was very nice but served on a plate. Once again…why? From the dreadful plastic flowers everywhere and the awful and slightly too loud music to the christmas lights round the bar which would have looked lovely in white but just looked like a leftover from december the white hart tried so hard but just fell short of the mark every time except of course with the prices. We have eaten better for much less. To charge what they ask they need to sort these niggles. Good try but no cigar.More

The food was delicious, very friendly, polite and helpful staff, lovely atmosphere. I had the duck wrap and my daughter had the margherita pizza. Both were good sized, served hot and tasty.

Been here before many years ago so it was about time to give it another go, The whole experience was ok not brilliant in any way. The waiting staff were not confident and didn't know what the soup of the day was. The tomato soup...was historic the best I have had, a really good start, Gammon egg and chips were acceptable as was the burger and the fish & chips. none of it was anything other than ordinary. noise from kitchen was unnecessary. This inn allows dogs in the restaurant as when we were there, they were no problem but it was a little out of the ordinary. ok if passing don't make a special visit.More

My husband and I were attending Duxford and Bottisham for the weekend and I booked this hotel through Booking.com. Perfectly located between the two destinations. The pub itself is absolutely beautiful inside and our room was fabulous and the bathroom to die for, massive walk...in shower. We had a peaceful night's sleep and my vegan breakfast was absolutely delicious. We are looking to stay here again soon.More

We arrived and were asked by a young lad waiter if we wanted to sit inside or outside which was a nice welcoming. We were then greeted by a female very young waitress clearly very new to the job, which is fair enough to be...lenient and expect some mistakes which is fine and we are very understandable. But the waitress not knowing what a J20 was and mishearing to the point of not having the confidence to ask us to repeat what we had ordered was just ridiculous. After the 7th/8th mistake we were getting pretty annoyed and no longer patient. My friend NEVER received her drink and they thought we ordered a shandy instead. My friends pizza came with a dead fly on it which the manager then accused us of placing on there or that it had not come from his 'five star kitchen' The salad was served falling off of the plate that it was clearly too small to be on. Manager was rude - abrupt and tried to dispute our complaint many times and would not listen. Manager finally was a tiny bit more polite in the end and listened to the fact that we were not paying for anything due to appalling service and appalling food. I'm not one to write bad reviews but AVOID this place. Shame as I used to come here a lot and it was fantastic! Maybe new management and staff letting the place down - more training required for staff wouldnt go a miss.More

Great place for breaking our journey to see family. Warm welcome, very reasonable room rate - as others have said, it's an old building with small rooms presumably made even smaller when they were converted to en-suite. Comfortable bed and a good night's sleep. Excellent...food, not cheap but good quality. There was background music, not at an intrusive volume, but seemed a rather odd genre considering the average age of the customers was on the senior side! Rooms accessed by outside stairway, not sure if there is disabled access or not, so you might want to check if needed.More

We went for lunch with another couple, sat outside in the quiet courtyard. Food was great, from salad to panini‘s to pie of the day, couldn’t fault any of it. Followed up with two delicious and well presented red velvet cheesecakes! Service was friendly and...attentive. Will definitely return.More

Taking 3 generations of a family out can be really trick, but we have just had a really lovely Sunday lunch at the White Hart. We were very lucky with the weather, as we were sat outside, and the sun was out. The food was...all delicious, with a special mention to the roast beef Sunday lunch. The 2 for £10 cocktails were also delicious. We were even given a complementary serving of the vegan cheesecake as we were unconvinced it could be very nice. But OH! How wrong could we be, it was absolutely delicious. Overall the staff were lovely, and really helpful with delicious food. We will be back really soon. Thank you.More
