The person on check out today is so difficult and argumentative.....
I went to buy some little bits and wood, I asked for some wood you have to bring it through the shop there’s big signs telling you that!! The shops not busy so you...can go and get it!! Big signs A4 at least 3 meters away from anything you would look at.. and shop not busy means I can’t be bothered... maybe I can’t anymore considering ins a 20 min drive from home.....More
At the moment the cafe is closed, due to the pandemic. I use the farm shop once or twice a week. There is a good car park. Lovely fresh veg and fruit. Staff helpful. There is a deli and butchers but as a vegetarian I...can’t comment on the meat. There is a small groceries area and plants and pots. Also cards. Well worth a visit.More
Lovely and bright conservatory area for dining. Atmosphere was also good. Food was alright. Three of us had the garlic and herb lamb steak. Not what I expected. The lamb steak was a good size but not that tasty. I don't think the steak was...marinated, it just had very watery garlic and herb gravy poured over the top. The service was slow and not once did anyone check if everything was alright. Took a while to get attention for the billMore
Walked out , simply because the chef insisted that we had to have the toast with the scrambled eggs, which we didn’t want . !, what happened to customer satisfaction , or let’s try and please the customer?.
Staff are like robots “ not allowed...“ set menu! Btw . It was early and only 2 other people in there .
The cook presented himself with an aggressive “what is your problem “
He then offered my husband outside . Shocking customer relations .
Will not be going back ever and nor will I recommend my guests. . It’s also very expensive. .More
I asked the waitress if I could have my breakfast without toast, she said no, no changes are to be made.
I said could you just ask the chef, as I don’t want to eat bread (currently investigating whether I am allergic to it or...not)
The chef came to the table and said “what’s the problem”
I said please could I just have my breakfast without toast. He said no. Which is TOTALLY ridiculous!!!
It got a bit heated between all of us as we just could not understand the stupidity of forcing me to have a piece of toast.
I understand if the cafe was very busy but there was us and one other in there. Plus it would have taken him longer to toast some bread and put it on my plate.
My dad said “I understand I get it I get it, when it’s busy I understand” the chef walked off and said if you don’t want to listen I’m not talking. Which was totally stupid. My dad was agreeing with him!! He then walked back to the table and said “if you want to go outside let’s go outside”
Plus over priced!!!!! TOTALLY RUDE!!!!!!! We have a local AIRBNB which is occupied 360 days of the year. all of my guests are directed to this place for breakfast. I’m in shock! All over a piece of toast.More
Me and my other half came here for our valentines day meal, and it was lovely! Chilli jam was too die for, and the chips were all crispy!! And the beef itself was really tasty!! My other half had a double stack burger (I am...sorry I cannot remember the name) but I other half sang praises of his meal too. We also brought sausages from the farm shop, and we are very excited to try them!! They have a delicious looking array of cakes (vegan ones too) Something for everyone 😊
We will defo be back Gibsons, thank you!More
I went here with my family the day after Boxing Day and was looking forward to a nice breakfast. The waiting staff were very friendly but the food took a long while to arrive once we’d ordered, granted it was busy but the wait seemed...excessive.
I ordered the vegetarian breakfast and on arrival I could tell that the poached eggs were well over done and like rubber, the granary toast was in fact white toast and the tomatoes had barely been warmed through and were quite bitter.
We were sat very close to the pass, and all through our meal the man working there could be heard swearing at staff in the kitchen, even dropping the ‘C bomb’ once.
I won’t be hurrying back there.More
