We did a stopover at this hotel and restaurant and were most impressed by the quality of both food and accommodation. Our room was spacious, clean and freshly renovated with a modern bathroom. We had an excellent dinner that included delicacies such as chicken breast...in an almond crust or fillet of beef with morels. The starters and dessert were also delicious. For breakfast the offer was more varied than usual in France.More

Very interesting menu well executed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was beautifully presented and tasted exquisite. Good well presented rooms. Out of the way so come and stay and eat.

My over-riding memory of this hotel is of the hilarious dining room design, very 1980s although clearly more modern, with lights which change colour (through the blue spectrum - which really enhances the food!), chairs in different shades of purple and a polystyrene swirling ceiling!...Eight of us ate dinner here and the service was simply terrible. I don't know if the kitchen couldn't cope with the number. The wine suggestions were dreadful, especially an undrinkable local 'white' the colour of Irn Bru. It then It took us 1.5 hrs to get our starters and over 3 hours to get the full meal. Despite several requests, we didn't get any bread until it arrived with the starters. The food was all over-sauced, so very rich. Note, the hotel didn't open until 16.00 so no early check or luggage drop and checkout is 10 am when they're hoovering outside your room waiting to get in. It seems to be run by a husband and wife with minimal help and the staff were positively surly in the morning implying that they hadn't had much rest as we'd been at dinner until late the night before! Breakfast was also quite basic.   However, one positive is that the rooms are very nicely designed for a 2* and Room 10 is particularly lovely, huge with exposed beams and a really great bathroom.More

Stopped for lunch during a trip round the geological sights and villages of the area. Lovely welcome - very enjoyable food (we had the midday "formule") served in this delightful location on a sunny autumn day. What more can you ask for?
