We had a wonderful lunch here: simple home-cooked food, very delicious and far better then most tourist places in Potes (and half the price).

Wow! What a place! Quique, the owner for the last few years (& Chef) is some guy. He cooks almost Artesan food, with an homage to his home-town of Malaga, using fresh ingredients & flavourings, in a simple & simply delicious way. He's also great...fun, happy to share his knowledge & despite being quite a big fella, not over-powering or false. I asked him the 2nd night we went to eat there how he was, to which he replied, "I'm fat." Brilliant..... We ate, like others who have reviewed here, Aubergine (Egg-plant) strips, deep-fried & covered in Molasses - gorgeous, the best Chorizo I've ever tasted, garlic chicken, a terrific salad, a wonderful thick cold soup, a creamy kind of Gazpacho, a homely Beef stew & these little caramel flans that were just amazing. The house Rioja Tinto was pretty damn good too. The views over the valley to the mountains are every bit as good as the food & the friendliness of the host & his mate who helps him out. Quique needs to charge more, because he's so cheap it's ridiculous! Go to this place, it's absolutely brilliant.More

This is a fantastic restaurant run by two brothers - Fernando and Rafael - who are passionate about good food. The food is not pretentious. It is just well cooked and delicious. It is a small restaurant and if, if you book in advance, they...will cook anything you ask for (eg a special paella) or they will just surprise you. On our first visit we had a delicious salad starter, aubergine crisps, meat with frites, incredible tartlets with blueberries, raspberries and a cheesecake followed by coffee. The bill came to 41 euros for three of us (including a very nice bottle of wine for 6 Euros!!). Needless to say, we returned later in the week. The restaurant and small bar is tucked away in a teeny hamlet called Dos Amantes (off the CA184 near Pesaguero) but is worth the journey. On a warm night, the awning can be opened to reveal a splendid view of the mountains.More
