LOVE this place the ingredients are fresh - portions extremely generous and the service is top notch. I had the bar fresh tuna cooked perfectly and all diners in our group had beautiful dishes

Beautiful place with a great menu and a magical atmosphere. We came across this restaurant by chance and it stands out from all the other copy paste tourist traps on the sea side with hundreds of seats. The restaurant has a smaller menu with dishes...different from the usual suspect in Greece (souvlaki, chips, moussaka). We had the courgette balls to start and the beef cheeks and the pork chops with honey and mustard. All beautiful dishes. It certainly is a little bit more than average but for food largely better so very happy to pay that. We also had an incredible bottle of Greek red wine that was new to us but I would highly recommend. Will be backMore
We visited Ergon with 4 people and as a couple. The food was good but expensive but we (4people) did not question the bill as we’ve visited Nidri for 23years and never has the Greek’s integrity been in doubt. However, the second time we dined...as a couple, the bill was very expensive . On checking the bill there was an additional item. When asked what this was for, the manager said it was government tax and we had to pay it therefore we did only to be told there isn’t such a tax. No other restaurant included this charge over 3weeks we were there. SO BEWARE CHECK YOUR BILL.More
Will take legal actions! Totaly misleading review.
We ate in Ergon twice during our holiday and it was the best restaurant that we dined in. The food is delicious and fresh. The presentation is also excellent! Waiting staff are polite and attentive and more than happy to explain items on the menu...or make suggestions. The setting is lovely and shaded which is welcome during the heat of the summer months.More
We went to this restaurant after reading the reviews to try sth diifferent. The place was empty and really well decorated. Our plates were ok, nothing exceptionnal. The problem came with the bill: we asked for one child some pasta with butter and some cucumber....Well, pasta dish was charged 15 euros and a quarter of a cucumber 6 euros. It was ridiculuous and not worth. They should review the way of treating clients…More
Having visited Lefkada for 25 years and with many friends in Nidri both locals and ex pats we were shocked by what we experienced last night. As two women in our late 50s and 60s we have never been spoken to so aggressively and inappropriately...before. We last ate at Ergon about 5 years ago. It is always looking empty, but a friend said they had nice food the night before so we thought we would give it a go as we wanted to support it. We sat on a table for two and greeted by a waitress who was lovely who took our order. We ordered as a starter, fava with Pitta which is made from local lentils and you don’t see it much on menus. For main course we ordered two pasta dishes. The pitta came and then the large bowl of fava which was delicious. After two mouthfuls the manager came and tried to put the main course on what was a full table as it was small. I said we have only just started our first course, he said forcefully it’s very hot you have it now. I said I didn’t want it and he took it to the bar and slammed the plate down on the bar. He aggressively said you tell me when you want it. Within 5 minutes and still only halfway through our starter he again approached us eyes on stalks and aggressively asking if we were ready now. We again said no as we were only half way through. He then started reprimanding us saying you are in Greece this is how it is and we should have told the waitress that was what we wanted. We explained we had but he refused to accept this. At this point he was getting more and more aggressive. We asked him to stop being so aggressive and told him in 25 years we had never had this experience before and we regularly eat with our Greek friends so know this is not normal. He was getting worse, so fearing a further escalation, I said we would pay for what we had and leave. He told us to get out of his restaurant and we paid and left. Having just survived cancer to come on holiday to somewhere you love to be treated like that was a shock and we are still in total disbelief. In our working life we had a lot of experience dealing with aggressive and challenging individuals and this man certainly has a problem and thinks it is acceptable to treat women like this! We will never be visiting this restaurant again and will try to warn as many people about him, especially female travellers.More
We will proceed with legal actions.Enough is enough some times. Any review is always welcome and usefull to us aswell to any visitor but not when the review tries to harm businesses or individuals.
Everything about this restaurant screams ‘cut above’. And in many ways it is. Smart chic look inside and out. Reassuringly expensive (for Lefkas) menu. Attentive and polite staff. Look, the wife had no problems whatsoever and probably would give Ergon a five. But in all...honesty, I can’t. …. Unaccustomed as I am to starting a review with the loo, I’m going to anywaybecause that’s the first thing I did when I got there. Stylish and smart like the rest of the place but…. completely detached and broken seats - on both loos. Really? Added to which, both doors didn’t lock - or actually close - as both the locks were broken. Hmmm attention to detail management? Not a good start for what at first glance appears to be one of the towns signature restaurants. I forgot what I had to start but it was fine. What I have a problem with was my chicken ‘whateveritwascalled’. What it was, was a very expensive deconstructed chicken gyro. A pitta bread, on top of which soggy chips and on top of that, chickeny bits. And a fancy (can’t remember) dip. Ergon, if I want a chicken gyro, I’ll rock up to Stathis Place on the High Street and have a to die for one for the princely sum of €3.5! So, yes. Fine for the most part but tweaks required (and the wife was happy so no damage done).More
We stayed on the island for seven days, and unfortunately we had dinner at this place on our last evening… simply superb! Leave all the other restaurants on the promenade and go straight at this place! Food is delicious, great ingredient research, fine selection of...appetisers. Amongst of the things we had for dinner, the “Gruyere from loannina with paprika” was really noteworthy… delicious… The environment is lovely and staff is friendly. Highly recommended.More
Excellent food and service. I cannot understand why this place isn’t packed. I can only presume that it’s at the end of a long line of tavernas and therefore people have chosen one of the first spots. The food is delicious, first class and excellent...wine. It was actually the best meal of our holidayMore
This place has definitely been one the highlight of my holiday in Lefkada and I’m sure it would be for any foodie like me. The location is simple and elegant, at the same time extremely welcoming and cozy. The service and the staff from the...owner to the waiters are exceptional, they welcome you with a smile and they are capable to make incredible drinks and help you with suggestions and recommendations on the menu. Now the best part, the food! The menu is all very interesting so we had different dishes from starters to main. The beef cheek was incredible, it melted like butter and the taste was comparable to what you find in Michelin starred restaurants! Also the pastas and risotto that my friends had were equally outstanding (and I can be reeeeeeally fussy about pasta). I can’t do nothing but highly recommend this place to all visitors of Lefkada, it’s a real treat! I really hope to come back before leaving the island and if not I really hope to do so in a very near future!More
We ate twice at Ergon. We had a wonderful lunch of mixed dips with bread and salad. Really tasty and hit the spot. We also had dinner, chicken souvlaki with rather an abundance of chips, beef and pork ragu. Both recommended. We would return and...will try the London restaurant soon. Highly recommended.More
Nice place with a more modern greek menue than other restaurants. The dishes were made with love. Very friendly staff. :-)
Genuine deliciously cooked modern cuisine with à LOT of vegetarian alternatives in a familiar friendly atmosphere with the sea in front
Great find. Authentic Greek menu with healthy options & twist! Lovely, accommodating hosts. Highly recommend. Deli and cafe too. Classy decor with sea views. Fabulous. Definitely return.
They serve cheese pie with honey for starters which is one of my new favourites. Interesting menu - a bit more variety than the standard taverna fare. The house white wine was good.
