This authentic little eatery was the nearest to our hotel, and after eating by the harbour for a couple of nights we decided as most of the tables were full as we passed, it must be ok and gave it a try. We ate their...four times over our holiday, and enjoyed everything we both chose (grilled shrimps, shrimp saganaki, moussaka, kleftico, chicken fillet). We can highly recommend and the staff were very friendly as well.More
Surprising to find so few recent reviews on Trata as this was ine of our favourites on this holiday. Ate here four times over two weeks and every meal was very nice. Their fresh sea bass, sea bream and lamb chops were really good quality....The team here work very hard to satisfy their customers from the initial greeting to leaving. The owner is on hand in the kitchen which must be unbearably hot but always had a smile and said hello. The taverna is situated near one of the busy corners before the ‘pedestrian’ zone which is actually more like a race track for electric scooters, motorbikes and too many cars using it at night. It looks nice and traditional with vines above the entrance and make a more relaxed evening than running the gauntlet of the hurly burly modern sea front restaurants, some of which are very good quality but do not appear very authentic. All the waiting staff are very friendly, polite and happy to advise on the meal options and any other questions. Very pleased that we found Trata, thank you.More
We tried to get a table the night before but the place was packed so returned the next day. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble. The restaurant was not busy at all. Beetroot starter was good. Mains are not huge but...are homemade. We ordered Kleftico and Moussaka. We had been lucky with these dishes elsewhere so were a bit underwhelmed.More
If you want a real Greek food experience, then look no further than Trata. This is a great place to have a relaxing meal, enjoy the people watching and not be rushed. When the food arrives, it is worth the wait and tastes fantastic. The...staff do not pester you to hurry up so they can sit another customer as others do so you can enjoy the atmosphere. This place is great value for money. We ha e had a few meals here on our holiday and have never been disappointed.More
Very overpriced but convenient given the weather conditions. Half the items listed on the menu were off, the service was slow and haphazard. Advice, just keep walking by. After nine meals in Nydri this was the worst, and most expensive by st least 15%.
Food was good - just as well as the services the slowest so far during our stay. They didn't seem to take orders in sequence, so newcomers got served ahead of people (us) waiting for food!
I got In this famyly Tavern around 7.30 pm . I was greeted nicely . I askel to have some traditional Greek food and I end up having the Kleftiko . This pot dish was so tasty ,full of flavors from the herbs and well...cooked lamb meat . This small place seem to be well known , now it is right past 8pm and it's getting full . I hope they will keep the tradition going on . I hope all the Best, definently I will return .More
Greek cuisine is simple and tasty so it was a shame to see so many corners being cut. The worst Kleftico I have ever seen. It gave the impression of a sort of boys club with eager but chaotic service and weird food. In a...land of firm ripe tomatoes, I was confronted with Lidl baby plums. Dips were served without bread, white wine wasn’t properly chilled, potatoes were hard and the Kleftico was served in a small weird earthenware pot on a bed of semi cooked chips. The fish was small and served on a pointless lettuce leaf All in all this felt like a restaurant in a death spiral, it knows the words of the songs but can no longer play them in the right order. In a town full of good restaurants this is not good enough.More
We went hear twice both times enjoyed are meal no complaints about the food or the time it took . It’s a family run business with the mum in the back doing all the cooking. We had a bottle of pink wine it was the...cheapest in this restaurant at €12 had the same wine in different restaurants for €13 and even €18 in one .More
Absolute horrible tourist trap More expensive than any other nearby restaurant and 100% not worth it Can't believe it's still open
If you go there you have to: Wait 60mins for the food 40 mins for the bill Very bad food Very dirty kitchen The people need a waitress and a cooker
Always a friendly and warm welcome Food well cooked and the seafood Always fresh. Nice and cosy atmosphere Can only recommend Tatra
Unfortunately a really bad experience. Horrible service, and overcooked food. Saw the kitchen when I went to the toilet, and it looked kaotic... Cannot recommend it at all.
Good restaurant, nice "oldtime" place. Service superb. Music little loud. Kleftiko and stifado potrations are tasty. I,be back.
