I visited this restaurant shortly after it opened on a Sunday mid-morning. The cafe itself is super cozy and welcoming with the friendliest staff and the coolest atmosphere. I needed a place to hang out while my son was in the Evergreen International Ski School,...and this place was at the foot of the hill. I started the morning with a Mango Smoothie Bowl, and it was super cold, fresh, and delicious! After hanging out for a short while and enjoying the background music and view of the slopes, I indulged in a vegan brownie. During my time there, many people around me were ordering items from the lunch menu, and each time they brought out a dish my mouth was drooling. The food options looked and smelled so good! We went to Luce for dinner during our stay in Hakuba during winter on a recommendation from a friend who had been there the year before. It was evening time so we didn't get to enjoy the view butthe restaurant was just what we needed...- cosy, comfortable and very warm and friendly staff. We were recommended to try the burgers but it wasn't available on the dinner menu, however the staff were so accommodating, they agreed to make the burgers just for us! We had lovely cocktail and a really pleasant time and the burgers were absolutely DELICIOUS! We'll be back again - next time during the day so that we can enjoy the view of the mountains.More

Right at the bottom of the Kokusai slopes Luce is a good option for a burger lunch. The wagyu burger was tasty and servde with really nice fries. Service was prompt and the place was very quiet when we visited.

Ordered the sirloin (200g). It looked amazing, tasted good but I can't give more than 3 stars because it was luke warm on arrival despite the restaurant being empty and for 200g I have no doubts that 100g of it was fat. I realise sirloin...has fat running through it but this was a bit of a joke. I didn't feel full. If you do visit I'd pay an extra 2000y and get the fillet to avoid fatty disappointment. The salmon was on point though.More

Food was overpriced and underwhelming. The Wagyu steak was almost USD100 n was not what we expected from the photos on the menu. It was undercooked and cold n doubt if it was 200 grams as stated on the menu. The veges that accompanied our...chicken parmigiana were two quarter cut undercooked potatoes n a quarter of an onion n the chicken was tasteless. There was no option for sides. The entree salad was just a plate of lettuce with oil. The decor was good n staff were friendly. If the food was improved it would be a great little restaurant.More

We had a great lunch here after being on the slopes all morning. Hearty burgers and cold beers. Also returned the following day for coffee which was also delicious. Very friendly staff also.

I had dinner here on one of the final nights of my ski week in Hakuba and it wasn't as good as i thought it would be. I would recommend the more local places. the staff didnt ask how i liked my steak cooked and...the Pork was over cooked slightly making it dryMore

Very close to the Evergreen ski school , all the food is tasty with a good variety . Just be careful of the floor surface if you are wearing ski boots it is slipperyMore

Went here with several friends on a snowboarding trip - food overall was great. I was the only one that didn't order the wagyu beef entrees, and instead opted for several different selections, all of which were above-average in both taste and presentation. My buddies...were raving about the beef, as well. The only improvement opportunity was the ability of the waitstaff to sell the menu, they knew very little specific information regarding meat cuts, portions, wine pairings, etc, so we were left to making estimations ourselves (which were okay).More

As an Australian on holiday finding good coffee is always a challenge. My husband and I stopped for a break and had a great coffee. Definitely ask for a double shot though.

Luce is on the ground floor of the luxury Mountainside Apartments. We only had dinner there, but I understand that lunch is more casual with burgers, etc. Dinner was very high quality with excellent attentive service, but be aware that it is a wagu focused...menu with limited options for those who aren't steak lovers.More

Last night we decided to go to Luce for dinner, great choise the owner/chef always makes the meal taste & look fabulous, had a nice bottle of red which suited our mains - Venison which I had & my wife had the Wagu, also had...garlic potato mash which was devine.More
