How is Owens Restaurant & Bar rated?

Came here for a family reunion meeting up with family from around the country. Originally booked for 15 then had to change to 13 due to the dreaded COVID. We had a table upstairs. A few of our party were late but the staff were...very patient and didn’t rush us at all. We were there for around 4 hours and nobody was pushing us. Staff were all polite and accommodating. We even managed to catch up with our missing relatives by video messaging. Everybody was complimentary on the choice of venue and the quality of the food and the only reason some plates weren’t cleared was the substantial portion sizes.More

Me and mum called in on off chance of a table

Wowzers! Not local, but was visiting the equestrian tack shop on the Main Street. We were hungry so called in noticing it was dog friendly. Lovely staff, lovely venue (in the pub part). Nice menu, ordered the pan fried chicken in a cream sauce with...rice and vegetable. It was absolutely beautiful. We both really enjoyed. The staff were lovely - despite a really rude customer on another table! (Hate bad manners) and I can’t wait to return with my partner, or mum again when we go to the tack shop again. Lovely, really lovely. Just wish it was closer to where I live. I’d be in a lot. Definitely recommend.More

Fabulous restaurant

Best coffee

Really friendly staff, they were very accommodating to us and our accompanying small children. The coffee was amazing and the children’s hot chocolate was also very nice! Very convenient if visiting the east Lancashire railway.

Lovely restaurant with excellent food

We ate downstairs on a Tuesday night. The food was really good and the service excellent. Following a selections of breads and olives to start, I had the Thai Curry and my wife had the Lamb Shank. Delicious.

Lovely visit

Visited here with my mum and husband. Had lunch and must say the sandwiches were so good. Very generous portion (barm cake with generous filling and hand cooked chips with side salad and sauces) tasty and excellent quality food. Coffees were also very good. Staff...attentive and pleasant. Seemed busy and food going out looked very nice. Will definitely be back when in the area. all main meals have option of having smaller portion for people with smaller apetites. First visit won't be the last

Visited tonight for the first time. Had an excellent evening. The food was cooked fresh to order.. one of our party was vegan and she had a good choice of food. Service was excellent and was led by Phil. Good value for money. The whole...building was spotlessly clean. Will be back.More

Great food, great drinks, awesome staff!

The owners and the staff are lovely. Very attentive! My husband has disabilities and they accommodate us and my husband’s assistance dog very well. Also they have an accessible downstairs toilet. We feel not just welcomed, we feel special. The food is gorgeous and my...husband said the “Bloody Mary” was very well prepared!More
