Had lunch here with a friend. What a lovely experience. The server was friendly, warm and welcoming. Our cheesy quiche and apple/potato soup were so delicious. I loved the large selection of teas. We topped off our lunch with the best carrot cake ever. I...can’t wait to go back.More

Passing through the small town of Erin Ontario, I found this cozy high tea restaurant themed around the Mad Hatter. The menu is quite extensive and the food was well-prepared. I am not very impressed with the upkeep of the establishment going by the dusty...floor in the dining area on a Saturday morning and its not even a full-blown snowy Canadian winter yet when guests walk in with dirty boots. Also, on the drive out of Erin I realized that the girl at the counter had overcharged me for two simple coffees priced at $2.75 each quite a steep $5.25 each saying that the price of coffee and a Pot Of Tea is the same. Such a mistake can be expected from restaurants using temporary workers but not from family establishment who would know the menu inside out.More

My husband and l chanced upon this gem of a restaurant in downtown Erin last Sunday. We already had lunch but just had to walk into this lovely room to absorb its pleasing ambiance. We were glad we made the right decision. Bella, our server...was very knowledgeable of the teas and food offered and was such a delight to speak with. The scones we had were delicious with the butter, blackberry jam, clotted cream and lemon curd; and the Yerba Mate Mango tea and Lady Grey Lavender tea were so tasty to the palette and oh so refreshing. We decided that we would definitely return to Erin if only to eat at the Maddie Hatter again and to try its other wares.More

Right off the bat, the welcome we received was so warm and inviting, big smiles, almost felt like a hug:). The two staff that served us were very attentive, explained the teas and menus. They let us put the display hats on and took photos...for us. The food was just delicious, we were so full by the time we got to desert we had to get a container to take most of them home. They were very attentive to our requirements, we had 3 vegetarians and 1 meat eater in our party so food was perfect. Everything was so fresh and tasted delicious. The decor was fun, it was clean, dishes and cutlery were just perfect for the high tea. I will definitely be back here with other family and friends...loved it so much!!More

My partner and I took my Mother for early Mother’s Day since we will be away. The shop is just as cute as can be and felt very cozy and homey. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were seated exactly at our reservation time....We chose our tea and the waitress offered to take a picture for us. The high tea was perfect. The presentation was impeccable and it was so tasty. The scones melted in our mouths. It was very reasonably priced and we had a lovely time. 5/5 on all counts. If you are looking to create memories versus just having some food this is the place. Thanks for a great afternoon.More

Our Tea shop is located in an old historic building on the Main street in Erin. I would not consider it wheel chair accessible due to the step leading into the front door and the size of our bathrooms.
