Our restaurant - tavern is a family business operating since 1998. Located on the main street of the village Kastraki. The traditional cuisine with homemade dishes and good local wine, is combined with views of the rocks of Meteora, and with our pleasant service. The place is comfortable studied in every detail, suitable for both winter and summer your culinary outings. We always use fresh and natural ingredients in our kitchen, meats and vegetables from our village.

Super place before or after visiting the Meteora site. It's clean, it's friendly, it's homemade authentic local food. Stefano (the owner or owner's son) was so kind, gentle, patient and very polite. The site itself is nicely shaded, the tables with their tablecloths are inviting, there is parking in front.
The last and the best, we were offered a very tasty dessert
They speak English and there is wifi.

We come for dinner and order a litre of white for €6, for a starter feta with olive oil and bread, €3.50, the main course is moussaka, €7.50 and imam, a meatless dish of eggplant, zucchini, peppers and onions in fresh tomato sauce, €6 . Tasty. Then the owner brings apple pieces in honey as a dessert on the house, and we also order Greek coffee, 2€. Total we pay 23€.

Delicious food, friendly hosts who took good care of us and gave good advice and recommendations. The meat is roasted on charcoal right next to the guests and smells delicious. We will be happy to come back

Good location and a nice air-y place. The restrooms were very clean and the staff was attentive at all times. The food was decent, but they didn’t seem to even know what juices they had on the menu when trying to order some of them.

Nice little place with an older guy grilling the meats and we could see all was fresh and of good quality. We had the usual taverna food and enjoyed the grilled aubergine salad and the mains of pork souvlaki. Proper chips cooked from scratch and not from a freezer. The little choc ices given as a free dessert were a great end. We had two starters, two mains, a carafe of wine and a bottle of sparkling water and it came to 45 euro. Great value.
In general, the little clutch of tavernas in this road are much cheaper than those in Kastraki village near the church.

Taverna is on the road to the Meteora, 50m from Camping Vrachos Kastraki. The whole family helps to put the best dishes on the table. We have choriatiki salad, Boerakakia, Moussaka, Port souvlaki, tzatziki, fĂŞta saganaki and a liter of white wine for a very good price. We were extremely satisfied with the chef, the service and the friendliness of the people. We will definitely come back.

Great for gluten free. Excellent understanding of needs and hand made chips were fried in gluten free fryer. Staff said almost anything can be made fresh gluten free. Meat and salads fantastic! Great service and friendly helpful staff. Lamb chops were good.

It is the typical tavern you expect to find in Greece. Nothing elegant and refined, but the true taste of traditional cuisine, abundant, rich.
Upon arrival in the outdoor terrace, you are welcomed by the large fireplace with brazier and the Owner’s sympathy.

I had a wonderful experience at Taverna Stefanos located near Kastraki center. The traditional dishes were delicious and also, the prices very reasonable. I would highly recommend Taverna Stefanos to anyone looking for authentic Greek cuisine at affordable prices.

First of all: it’s great!!! If you are looking for a service with the “stuck c..” of a Parisian waiter, move on!!!
Second: you are looking for a typical restaurant, stop there without any problem!!!
You are served the starter and the main course almost at the same time. We don't serve you, we time the dishes for you, it's extraordinary!!
On the other hand, it’s excellent!!!! We had 2 starters, 2 courses, a bottle of wine (very decent) for €48!!! The lamb chops and the Moussaka I recommend, without forgetting served with fresh fries!!!! Frankly it would be a shame not to stop there

The meat dishes from the charcoal grill have real added value. Lamb sideburns were great from the meat quality to the preparation you see. Also the stuffed peppers & tomatoes were very fine!

Dinner in the open-air courtyard with a large barbecue in the fireplace and cooking on sight. All good. Mousaka, chicken suvlaki with side dish and grilled chicken fillet.... all well cooked and presented in a bustle of kittens. Friendly and attentive staff. Recommended when returning from the Meteors.

Typical tavern where we could eat good grills cooked on the terrace barbecue. The meat was delicious and well seasoned. A surprise was even offered at the end. Be careful however to refuse bread from the beginning otherwise it will be charged 80 cents per person.

Nice, laid back atmosphere and very good food. We had tzaziki, which was great- perfect combination of fresh (from the yoghurt and cucumbers) and garlicky. We then had meatballs and sausages that came each with a portion of delicious french fries. All in all a nice experience!

We chose this restaurant because it was close to the hotel where we were staying but, beyond the simple convenience, it was the smoke from the embers that attracted us.
The place is very nice, simple, frequented by locals and homemade, as are the dishes they serve.
The flavors are genuine and very pleasant.
As a vegetarian (only one of the two) I found some very tasty alternatives.
The grilled meat that they cook in front of you is delicious! Excellent value for money. Final dessert offered by the house.
