This bakery is so busy it had a constant queue out the door for the whole to line we were there. Don’t worry though. The queue was moving quick and the large staff were on the go all the time. No wonder it is so...popular. Great to see and soooo much busier than many other food establishments we came across on the peninsula. Choices for food and drinks are amazing with so much variety and great quality too. Definitely well worth the visit to fill your hunger. Well done!!More

When prices are this high, both the service and the food have to be exceptional. We ordered and paid for pies and coffee. The coffee arrived quite promptly but then we waited … and waited … and waited. With rapidly-cooling coffee and nothing else, we...enquired of the (very pleasant) staff member about the pies. She checked and said they had been ‘forgotten’. A few minutes later, they arrived. It was explained that the chefs ‘sometimes forget’ things. We had ordered two plain pies. On cutting the pies, we found one was wrongly ‘marked’ on the lid and was not plain - it contained several pieces of what seemed to be quite tough champignon (but had no mushroom flavour). The other pie was plain but disappointing considering the very high price. The pastry was unremarkable and the filling was on the sparse side. Overall, we felt quite taken down. We paid top dollar for very average food, a mixed-up order and a very long wait because we were ‘forgotten’. We won’t be back.More

Went there for a coffee and cake, the hand sanitizer was empty, the tables were dirty, and hadn't been cleaned and the floors were sticky! I asked for 2 cakes in separate boxes so we could eat separately, they came together so i asked for...a second box, the young girl was so rude and didn't even acknowledge me! The drink out the fridge was warm so i asked for a glass and ice, i got glared it! I've still given two stars because the barista was so lovely and actually looked embarrassed with the way myself and other customer was treated. Definitely wont be going back!More

Ordered a variety of cakes to pick up for our end of year staff Christmas celebration. They were all delicious and the left overs still tasted fresh 3 days later. Definitely recommend.

Terribly disappointing, very little food on display, our lunch was crammed onto a small plate, their ‘caprese’ side salad wasn’t a caprese salad, it was several cherry tomato’s and one tiny bit of mozzarella. Their water station had no glasses, we hovered around the water...tap hoping someone would ask what we wanted, no one did. Covid has made it tough of cafes etc, but people are out and about now so RHB really need to pick up their socks and look after their customers now even more because it’s easy enough to skip Balnarring all together.More

The mark of a good bakery is often the quality of their hot cross buns and mince pies. I was at the red hill baker in balnarring and took home 4 hot cross buns. They were really poor - very little fruit, altogether bland. I...know some of their other products are much better - the vegetarian (Mediterranean ) quiche is excellent, and bread and rolls ok too. But those hot cross buns are really really bad.More

On an organised trip to the Cerebus naval base @ Balnarring it was suggested that we have lunch at the Red Hill Bakery. Service was excellent, food terrific, (Pies,Pasties, cakes plus many more choices) it was a wise selection. A good choice of food (duck...pies recommended )& drinks served by an efficient staff, it was a great stopover for lunch.More

Firstly this place is outstanding the foood is delicious. You will not be disappointed. In response to the negative reviews, I believe the noisy minority are speaking. Please try for yourself. Prices are marked accordingly and the freshness and quality are without doubt first class....Do yourself a favour and drop in and you will be amazed. Loved the experience. Thank you.More

Do yourself a favour and spend a Sunday afternoon here listening to the jazz. Bookings are essential as the place fills up very quickly. We brought our international guests and sat and enjoyed the fantastic jazz from 1 until 4.30. It was hilarious. The food...wasn’t amazing. We shared wood fired pizzas and a meat cheese platter. The coffee and cakes and beers were good. A fantastic afternoon. You pay at the counter. Heaps of parking. We will be back.More

Located in Balnarring, the 'bakery' is a pleasant place for Sunday afternoon and listen to Jazz. A good atmosphere, selection of local wines and beers and reasonable meals. The booking process was disjointed so would recommend double checking - but would recommend a visit

Came here for a late lunch and there wasn’t much left to chose from which tells me this place is well loved. We ate in with our meat pie and pastie. At $15+ for those two items I doubt I’ll return though. A little over...priced for me the food was tasty but not much more than any other bakery. Good selection of breads - in fact pretty much anything you’d like is baked here. You can eat in at a nice cafe area with. Staff are friendly and helpful. Water tap available for a free refreshments toilets on site as well. Nice open fire in winter. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram and stroller accessible.More
