Looking at the reviews (bad ones), my estimation is a case of cultural lost in translation.
Although a bit on the pricey side, the food is very legitimate for Japanese people standards (= very tasty).
Maybe a language issue, but the service (as of Jan. 29th, 2021) was excellent!
We were even provided "service" with a complementary service of the EZO DEER skewers (tasted amazing).
If you are staying around Hirafu-Zaka, it is worth visiting.

Always fantastic. The skewers, the meat, the seafood, vegetables are so so fresh. Delightful staff, always welcoming. The fresh oysters are amazing and the wagyu beef is unbeatable. Seventh year in Niseko and it is nice to see that some things don’t change 😊

Fantastic dinner at a local restaurant in Hirafu.
Did not expect much as we were invited by family.
Small restaurant but can reserve a table.
Good service with an extensive Wine and Sake list. I just stayed with Sapporo Classic.
The menu underplays the deliciousness of the food served. The price of some items might deter some from ordering it.
It is reasonable for a fantastic meal.
Sashimi plate ¥15000
300g Waygu, perfectly cooked to medium rare, melt in the mouth ¥20000
Deer and Oysters on skewers- absolutely a must try.
Love it - good food and came to A$130pp.
Look at the pictures.

We were excited to try this restaurant based on rave reviews from friends and online reviews. It did not disappoint, we had a wonderful evening. The place has a lovely vibe and excellent staff, who will help guide your order in a reasonable and helpful way. All the food we had was amazing - skewers, sashimi, desserts. We can’t wait to return when we next visit Niseko.

Must make reservation early. Yakitori was BBQ just right. Must order their grilled chicken (salted), grilled zucchini with cheese and grilled mushrooms wrapped with bacon. The cheese cake was a slight disappointment though.

Two words: Don't bother. Overpriced ($500aud 2pax) and vastly over rated
we were looking forward to coming here, OMG what a disappointment, I don't where to start. 300gm waygu beef for $215. Not wagyu and tasted more like the steak from a local pub. The service. What service? there was none, we ordered 5 dishes, they all came at once except 1 appetiser, there was 2 of us and it was insane that the food waqs not more spaced out. It was the most expensive and the most disappointing meal we had here. MY advise? stay home and save yourselves the grief. Please don't start me on there crazy booking policy. Avoid at all costs.......

Finally managed to book this restaurant when we went to Niseko last season. The best dish was the special beef but it was expensive. Other dishes like salad, skewers were also very tasty. Our bill was above average spent of a meal out in Niseko but we felt it was worth it.

Definitely recommend this place. Nice and cozy atmosphere and lovely staff. The yakitori were cooked and flavoured to perfection. A bit on the expensive side for what it is - but gotta expect that in Japan in peak ski season.

Went with family of 6, with high expectation. Walked away totally disgusted and disappointed. Found a wet tray tissue in one of our order and the arrogant management acted as if we were the one who put it there. enough said. Expensive Food, edible food and terrible service.

Overpriced and ordinary at best. This restaurant was really disappointing. It was overpriced for what can only be called ordinary food. Service was fine, booking handled well. Atmosphere was like any normal unassuming Japanese restaurant. It’s a tasting menu. Unfortunately it’s difficult to understand and the pricing particularly confusing. We essentially had starters and left. Pizza on the way home!

Some of the best food you can find in Niseko, maybe Japan!
Loved the place before Corona, but when we were able to go without the place being packed I really appreciated speaking to the couple running it. Lovely people and I wish your success continues!

On a 10-day skiing holiday with friends, the dinned at this place was by far the most expensive and by far the worst - by a very long shot. My view is that this is a place built entirely on hype with no substance to back it up. The food is very average at best and the service is shocking. Avoid at all costs.
The first red flags appeared when we looked at the menu. Most of the dishes had no prices. There was a picture of the head chef, but really, who cares about insignificant details such as prices? Right? There was a Specials board that had no prices either. Not very helpful. The waitresses were fumbling - one took a couple of minutes to turn her service app on before she could answer any questions. When our chosen sake turned out to be unavailable and she offered us a substitute, she couldn't answer any questions about the new sake. Triple minus for knowledgeable staff.
We ordered quite a lot of food. The service staff made no attempt to space it out - practically all of it was delivered at once, which meant that half of the dished were going to get cold by the time we got through the first ones. Triple minus for attentive service.
The food was extremely average. The "star" dish (in the ironic sense) was the steak, which was Y16,000 for a 300g sirloin. It so happened that the previous night we had an equivalent dish at another restaurant - that was unmeasurably better and at 1/4 of the price. The other dishes were equally overpriced and equally below-average. The only exception was the steamed daikon appetiser, which was the cheapest and the smallest choice.
The dinner was the equivalent of A$250 per person, but the quality of the food justified perhaps A$50pp. This is perhaps the most over-priced, over-hyped tourist trap on the mountain. Avoid avoid avoid.
