Having lived in Niseko a few years- I have heard many times how delicious the food at Kamimura was and finally visited for the first time this evening. Blown away by the thoughtfully curated menu, the local ingredients and the excellent service. Intimate and welcoming...atmosphere added to the experience, which was already out of this world with the amazing food provided. Thank you for seamlessly accommodating our dietary requirements, and for making us feel so welcome!More
The ten course "Chef's Degustation" menu was the culinary highlight of our time in Niseko. The food was excellent and the service exceptional AND friendly. Congratulations to the Chef and all the members of the staff.
Excellent food and services but possibly we expect too much. Food and services're really Michelin standard but for some reason we were not fully fulfilled after all. Early bird menu is more than enough for us. We cannot finish the whole few last dishes. Hokkaido...grilled Wagyu's the highlight of child course menu but our kids were too full because of too many soft, smooth, delicious breads they had. :) Parents need to finish Wagyu instead. For early bird menu, I love king crab salad the best.More
Kamimura is the best we have during our family dinings in Japan. It is sort of French omakase for the full course dinner. Beautiful presentation for each of the dish , accompanied with the story and explanation about ingredients and how the food is made....And all are delicious. Recommended. The whole course took about 2.5 hoursMore
Dined here again and the food did not disappoint. We ate at the early bird session. Every dish was better than the previous! We loved chef kamimura coming out to speak with customers after! Thank you again for a lovely night.
My favourite restaurant at Hirafu ski town which is a Michelin star French restaurant using largely fresh Hokkaido ingredients. Impeccable restaurant ambience, high service quality & of course very delicious & innovative cuisines. Each dishes have been carefully cooked, arranged & presented. Despite the very...high standards, I would think the meal cost is very reasonable but of course not cheap. We tend to dine out here at least one night whenever we travel here. The chef is very attentive not only to details but also restaurant customers too.More
This restaurant is really a must eat restaurant in Hokkaido. Restaurant is located inside hotel, with contemporary and comfortable sitting. However there are only a few tables which makes the booking always full. The Lunch course is only 5000 yen with five courses including coffee...and tea. Niseko beetroot crepe/ Olive, tofu cream, plum jam: This crepe is really soft and creamy, I did not expect beetroot flavor matches quite well with the light tofu cream, together with a tint of sour taste from plum jam, makes it quite tasty. Duck and veal consommé/ Rakuyo mushroom: The soup is clear, mushroom is very fresh and bouncy . it is quite rich in duck flavor, Also got the umami taste. The Sautéed annupuri porcini/ Porcini, brown rice risotto, mushroom powder: the risotto is cooked perfectly! It is really rich, very creamy and moist, with chewy texture. Yummy! Roasted chicken/ Niseko roast vegetables, zucchini, basil, black garlic: the chicken is roasted with golden skin. The skin is so crispy and the chicken meat is really tender and soft. Otaru pumpkin tart Vanilla ice cream, lime, ginger, caramel: even I am not a big fan of pumpkin, but I do enjoy this pumpkin tart. The Tart is very chunky, and the pumpkin content is very smooth and lightly sweetened, together with icecream and sauce, simply delicious Petit four is chocolate, marcoon and cake. All of them tastes good and the chocolate is so silky smooth! I had cappuccino which is very smooth and foamy, also got a hint of after taste. I enjoy this meal a lot. Surely come again in the future.More
We were deleted to had a supreme fusion dining experience here. This restaurant definitely deserve 2-3 Michiellin stars. It's one of the best one that I had tried in Japan and top five western restaurants on my own list. . The Japanese and French fusion...menus were prepared by head chef Enjoy a premier dining experience with an array of degustation Japanese and French fusion menus prepared by head chef Yuichi Kamimura. He was the head chef of Tetsuya’s restaurant in Sydney - former top 5 restaurants in the world before he relocated to Japan.More
Saw all the recommendations for this place and the Michelin Star it received so thought we should definitely try it out when we are in town. But since we had young children in our party it was hard to book. They only take one table...a night with young children I believe. And because of this the kids we were only able to do the simpler menu option instead of the degustation menu. But even the smaller menu did not disappoint! The service and the wine pairing were definitely up to the standard you expect for such a place and the food was everything you can ask for. I recommend upgrading to the wagyu beef option for one person if you have 2 dining together so you can share both entrees. Next time I’m in town will definitely visit again and try the degustation option! Chef actually came out to say hello and ask how our dinner was, and that’s always something to be appreciated.More
Kamimura provides a quality high end dining experience. I have been lucky enough to dine at Kamimura a number of times since it was first established in Hirafu and I would say that the food keeps getting better. On my recent visit, every course of...the Chefs Degustation was interesting, well presented and most importantly, tasty.More
I visited Niseko recently for skiing. What I had not expected was the Michelin star food at the Hyatt House. The hotel has two restaurants on property, the Michelin started Kamimura and its sister property Kitchen. I dined at Kamimura on two consecutive nights and...a third in the sister restaurant - the chef prepared two entirely different 11 course tasting menus for me with accompanying wines. Almost all produce is from Hokkaido. The range of food and beverages is extraordinary given the remoteness of the location - definitely one Michelin star.More
Must go if u ever visit Niseko... Chef Kamimura whips up a good meal of French Japanese cuisine!! Even my 7yo daughter loved the child meal and ate everything!
It is my first visit to this restaurant. My impression was that it’s a place for fine dining but when I stepped into the dining area I was shocked. The reason was that before I went, the management asked me if I would change the...reservation time so as to avoid a large group with children. So I thought they care so much about having you dining comfortably. The reality is that it’s crowded and noisy. Having said that, I must say that the food is really really good! Congratulations to chef Kamimura! It’s good in presentation, taste and timing. If not for the environment, I wo have given full mark!More
Nothing to say it’s just delicious!!! Yes it was difficult to book this restaurant but we were able to get in! And its amazing experience
