The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
A bit more than your usual big, fancy, historical churches. It has several interactive screens showing lots of details about the church's history and art. You can spend hours with these screens and learn a lot so give yourself the time.
Just amazing.we took the little mini cab up the hill as the lift was out of order, stunning views over the Danube and fantastic just walking around these beautiful buildings, and all the history in the city, and better still the view towards castle hill from the river is magical
I really enjoy the museum and the tour. It was the best museum I had been in my life so far. The tour was informative and meaningful. I will recommend to my friends and family :)
I would like to know more about the history and stories. In the tour, the tour guide mentioned a movie shot there. I am...
An intimate and eclectic cafe in the entrance alcove of a lovely period residence building. Great coffee, cakes and spritzers. Such a lovely respite from the tourists charging like lemmings to the terrace of the Fisherman's Bastian.

This restaurant was highly recommended by my hotel. I chooses the set menu (Hungarian seafood). It was so delicious and very tasty. I really enjoyed the food. The staff are welcoming and very knowledgeable about the food and especially caviar.

Went last week to this awesome restaurant. It’s not just a restaurant with amazing food. This place is an experience.
The venue at the Buda site is a treat for sore eyes.
We were taken to a table with the best view of the Parliament.
There was live music playing and the band comes around to play whilst your eating....
Our local guide told us about this little hidden gem, (up by the castle in Buda) and it definitely didn't disappoint.
The cakes were delicious, so many to choose from.
We choose a local chocolate layer one and a cherry strudel with delicious coffees to wash them down with.
It was so good and reasonably priced we went back for...

as mentioned , in the heart if the pulsating town a quiet place for the night, ambiance of real time slap what to mention more ....we are working in hotel industries as well and therefor we think it is a great place to stay...good whiskey, rooms with a touch of the more than expected .... we loved it
I opted for a comfortable room at the rear of the hotel, immaculate and well appointed with street view. The downside was the steep ramp from the courtyard and the stairs up to the room, but I was assisted with my luggage on arrival.
The breakfast room is light and airy with river views. The buffet is extensive and egg...
I recently visited Budapest for the first time and as I did my research, I decided to book hotels in both the Buda side and the Pest side, not because they were far away or difficult to get too, but because I wanted to experience the "vibe" of both sides , swiftly divided by the Danube River.
The Hilton Budapest...
This hotel offered everything it promised, the suite we stayed in was comfortable and all toiletries provided
It’s right next to Fisherman’s Bastian and within walking distance of lots of attractions
You need to be fit to do the walking as the hotel is in the Buda side of Budapest and it is right up on the top,if not the bus...
