    Very Informative
We stopped to see Martin Luther King Jr's birth home. Parking was a little difficult, but we went on a Sunday morning and forgot about the church services. You could not go into the house at this time because they were renovating it. That wasn't a big deal, we could see the outside and the surrounding houses had information to read. We went into the freedom hall and saw some of Martin Luther King JRs, his wife, Ghandi, and Rosa Parks things. Each room had information about each one. The visitor center was closed so we didn't get to see inside. We did pay our respects at MLK Jr and his wife's grave stone. The grounds are beautiful with a lot of information about him and his life and work. Great place to visit.

    Worth Experiencing
Definitely worth the visit just to try and envision all that happened there. Plenty to see and do. The house talks (since MLK's birth home is being renovated until next year) and talks in the church don't happen very often throughout the day, so if you're trying to plan an itinerary, it might be worth calling ahead to see what the schedules are for the day you'll be there (or just arrive when they first open).

Hope to Return After Birth Home Renovation
Our visit to the tomb, visitor center and the ranger talk at Ebenezer Church were very moving and informative. Unfortunately the film was not available that day and the birth home is closed until 2025 for renovations. We also walked around the neighborhood and grabbed lunch at a local eatery.

Fascinating Insight to the Life of a Great Man
The visitor centre is located towards the east side of Atlanta in Auburn Avenue NE. It’s around a mile on foot from the Downtown area of the city. The centre has great collection of photographs, articles and other memorabilia covering the life of Dr. King. It portrays his upbringing and his role in the Civil Rights movement. Events such as the 1955 Montgomery bus boycott, the 1963 march on Washington (including the “I have a dream” speech) and the 1965 Selma to Birmingham march are well documented. His murder in Memphis in 1968 where he was campaigning for the rights of sanitation workers is poignantly covered. I wasn’t able to visit the house of his birth as it is currently being renovated. Admission is free.

Atlanta National Historic Site Martin Luther King Jr.
If you go to Atlanta do not miss this magical place that goes back to the time of the struggle for equality of this great Leader. If birth house (pictured) was under restoration, but next door there is a souvenir shop that allows you to know the interiors of these homes. Around all the historical sites related to this struggle and the tomb of MLK and his wife.

Walking among the footsteps of MLK
This is a spread-out National Park with three main sites along an historic street. The Visitor's Center is a wealth of knowledge about the King family. The birth house is currently under renovation and inaccessible, but there is an informative 'talk" at the gift shop next door. Ebenezer Church had a wonderful presentation lasting around 30 minutes. And the final resting place is a tribute to a man who changed America.

Excellent Site, should be at the top of your list
This is a beautiful setting for this type of tribute. The museum is excellent, the grounds are perfect for strolling. As long as you're walking, be sure to go down the street to Martin Luther King Jr.'s birth home (it was closed for renovation but still great to see) and see the historic homes, fire station, and of course the tomb and eternal flame. You'll also see the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Everything is free and it's pretty easy to get to on public transportation. There is no reason not to have this high on your list when visiting Atlanta, it's an important piece of history. After your visit, the walk along the Freedom Path to the Jimmy Carter Library and Museum is a very nice walk, about 40 minutes.

    Great history lessons
We were in Atlanta for a concert and were looking for things to do nearby during the day. Drove here and parked on a residential street because we couldn't tell which parking lot served this venue (it's adjacent to a church). We enjoyed the grounds out front with inspirational people and quotes, and also the exhibits inside. I learned things about Dr. King that I had not previously known. We also visited the original Ebenezer Baptist Church building and heard a talk from a ranger, although she rambled a little bit. This is a public park, meaning that it is free but you can leave donations. We also stopped in the MLK Jr. Center but there is not too much to see inside. This is a public park, meaning that it is free but you can leave donations. Definitely worth a visit.

    Memories Well Done
The space is somewhat small but packs historical images and great media yielding an impactful visit. I was most impacted by Dr.King’s funeral where his final speech was played. It was moving to listen to his words. There is also a 30 minute video that is worth viewing. You will find out things you did not know even if you are a student of Dr. King’s.

    Much history and educational
Well worth a visit, much to see and learn. The film shown was very interesting and instructive. We walked around by ourselves and looked at everything both indoors and in the area around where you can see the house he was born in, the graveyard, the historic fire station.
