    3 Day Safari Trip
I’ve had such an amazing experience in this safari trip. Emmanuel, who organized this trip for me, was wonderful and quick to respond to my questions. All the tour has been arranged in a perfect way, starting from the aiport pickup through all hotel accomodations and tour themselves. As a solo traveller, I felt at ease and comfortable the whole time! I joined a group of 6 other travellers in the safari trip so I was never alone. I highly recommend booking with Crater Explorer Tours and Safaris!

Great experience for our first Safari
Our experience with Crater Explorer was very good. The communication with Emanuel the owner was always swift and to the point and very convenient via email. Upon arrival he explained us the details of the tour again and asked for any additional wishes. The guide on our Safari was Frank - a freelance guide which is very common in Tanzania. He was extremely knowledgeable, always friendly, accomodating our wishes and fun. Everything was as expected by the tour description upfront. The Jeep was comfortable with a rooftop to pop open. The accomodations were good - clean and spacious rooms, local food mostly as buffet for breakfast and dinner and a warm lunchbox every day on safari. Only on our first and last night in Arusha it was a B&B where we paid for dinner which was very affordable. All in all a great value for money and we would definetely do it again! The tour we did was starting with 1 night in Arusha upon arrival, 1 day Tarangire NP with a sleep over at Karatu Farm of Dreams Lodge, 2 nights in Serengeti Heritage Camp with the first day being a half day game drive en route passing by Ngorongoro Crater Rim and half day Southern Serengeti game drive. The second day in Serengeti was a full day game drive in central Serengeti. 1 day in Ngorongoro Crater floor and 1 day cumtural experience visiting the Hadza, Daatoga and Maasai tribe. After 1 night in Arusha we went to see the Materuni waterfall and a coffee tour. Upon request Emanuel also organized a hotel for our last night in Tanzania before going to the airport the following morning. We saw tons of wild animals - all the big 5. Definetely a great tour for 5 days!

    Delivered as promised!
My friend and I did the 6 day Machame Route on Kilimanjaro, a day trip to Tarangire, and a day trip to Mataruni waterfalls/coffee farm. We were very satisfied with all of the tours. Emmanuel was very responsive and accommodating to all the last minute plans/changes. The drivers were always on time, and delivered what was expected from each respective trip. Be advised however, that much of the prep for Kilimanjaro is your own responsibility, so do your own research on what to bring - there are plenty of lists online but some notable things to include would be: 1. water filtration throughout trip 2. rain jacket, rain backpack cover, AND poncho 3. clothing layers (as opposed to one big article of clothing) 4. comfortable daypack with plenty of support. 5. quality headlamp with extra batteries.

    Very good experience!
We absolutely enjoyed our trip! Our safari company joined with other safari companies , so our group was mixed. Though this is a great way to meet new people and to reduce polution by not having to many cars. Our guide Omari and chef Ramadan (from the other company) were wonderful. Omari was sweet, thoughtful and tried to keep everyone's interests in mind. He also knew a lot about the environment and animals. Ramadan cooked the best lunches that kept us full during the day. We split up from the rest of our group at the end of the game drive, since they booked the tented safari and we booked the tented lodge safari. We stayed at Angara N'gorogoro and Serengeti Safari Lodge, both absolutely wonderful with very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Amazing physical and cultural experience in the mountains and on the safari in 6 days. Worth the money!
I booked Mt. Meru climb (3days) and Serengeti/Ngorongoro tented lodge accommodation (3days). Emanuel sorted the hotels and pickups and I spent my first 6 days in Tanzania carelessly being taken care of. Mt. Meru climb was very difficult for me (not a hiker, drank beer every day prior to this trip), but my guide Mike and the team made sure I made it to the top! It was a painful, but amazing experience :D the climb is a bit technical- you need to climb rocks and use chains while vertically hanging on the side- but i felt safe and taken care of. It was raining the entire time, so do note that you need to prep waterproof clothes, bags and warm stuff. The huts are very simple on the mountain, no running water, cold and busy sith everyone climbing. As a solo traveler, it was amazing to meet new people there as well as other guides/cooks/porters. Afterwards, I went to Serengeti with the driver Peter, which was also a great experience - and a welcome three days sitting in a car after leaving my muscles and knees on Meru :) we saw many animals, danced with Masai, ate amazing food in the lodges, saw buffalo scratching his ass on my tent at 1am and learned so much about the culture and people. An unforgettable experience. Thanks to Emanuel and his team

    Wonderful experience!
It was a wonderful experience!! Everything organized in all detail from the arrival at the airport and even though nature can be unpredictable. The guides always friendly and helpful. I recommend camping if you want to always be in contact with nature. Thanks David and Emanuel, see you!!

    Incredible 4 day safari
We had an incredible 4 day safari (lodge). Every national park we visited was unique and beautiful on its own. We saw more wildlife than I expected. The accomodations in the lodge package were far beyond our expectations offering very comfortable rooms and exceptional views on the Serengeti and the Ngorogoro crater. Highly recommend the tour with crater explorer.
