Hong Kong Disneyland is a unique park but still uniquely Disney. It wasn’t our favourite Park (we are visiting every Park around the world and have done Euro Disney and the Parks in California and Florida) but there was still so many positives. The biggest of which was the package rates you can find which for us included a 2 day ticket and 2 night stay at the Disneyland Hotel and how quiet the park can be. We didn’t experience anything more than a 20 minute queue during our visit and got everything done in one day we didn’t bother visiting for a 2nd day. The park itself seems smaller than other parks but there are a lot of empty wide spaces with just nothing there with many of the food vendors not open until later in the day. We still enjoyed our day and every part of it still felt like ‘Disney’. You will still find the classic rides that you get at every park but some unique attractions to Hong Kong like the Iron Man & Ant Man and the Wasp ride. There was no big parade during our visit just a very small train with some characters thereon but still character interactions throughout the park. Momentous night time show was brilliant. On that note the Disney Premiere Access (DPA) including Monemtous was worth it as we got access to the front of the castle to watch the show. Early entry which we also paid extra for wasn’t worth it as only the world of Frozen area was open & we had a couple of fast passes for the two rides available in that area anyway which we didn’t end up using since the queue times was only 5 minutes during the early entry time.

We came to Disney with our 4 year old daughter as we’ve been to Paris with her and she’s a typical Disney fan. Firstly we went on a Friday which we thought may be less busy but it was very crowded from the beginning. The one train is crammed with people and then it’s a push and shove to get out. There were several times in the day when I’m sure there would be a crushing accident with the amount of people all trying to get through. Lots of Q jumpers but the staff are looking for it and appear to be fair to others. The day we went it was 31 degrees and it is hard when you are queuing in the mid day sun with no shade or fans etc. we ended up having to shade ourselves for a few hours just so we weren’t in the midday sun for too long. I know it’s to be expected but the ride queues were all over 45 mins which makes it difficult when it’s so hot and you have to entertain young children. However the variety of rides were good and I think it’s perfect for young children as they can go on pretty much everything if they are over 102cm and enjoy the rides. Only one huge rollercoaster and ride that requires 120cm. Not many meet and greets which is a shame. All the staff were friendly and spoke English which was helpful. Food is very expensive in the park, much more than other Disney parks and it took an hour for 2 coffees to arrive in Starbucks which was frustrating. The crowds and the huge amount of people was frustrated. People really don’t care about space or order which when it’s hot is frustrating. Overall it was a lovely day, the frozen world is brilliant and all the rides we went on were good for young children. I do believe there needs to be more contingencies for the hotter weather. Considering Disney world in Florida seem to do much better, I think this is something that can be invested in.

Just before the coronavirus (December 2019), it was about 12,000 yen for 2 days, but this time it was 18,000 yen for 2 days. The price on the official website is 20,000 yen. It has become quite expensive due to high prices in Hong Kong and the weak yen. Meals at restaurants cost over 3,000 yen per person, and meals outside of restaurants cost around 2,000 yen. Tokyo is now the cheapest Disneyland in the world, but considering the wait times for the attractions, Hong Kong was still the right choice. Although it was a weekday, it usually took 20 to 30 minutes, with the longest being 50 minutes. Overall, it's compact, so I think you can fully enjoy Hong Kong Disneyland in just one day. The castle and Frozen area that were under construction last time have now been completed, and the castle show that begins at closing time is truly amazing! It was the best.

HK Disneyland may be the smallest of the six Disneyland resorts in the world, but it is still unsurpassable compared to other amusement parks when it comes to entertainment, joyful rides, colorful parades, and spectacular shows. We visited the place on a weekend and on a holiday and the place was simply jam packed! The queues were very long, but we still managed to try our favorite rides and watch our favorite shows. We just failed to take photos with some of the Disney characters. At any rate, we were able to explore practically the whole resort and stayed on to watch the amazing "Momentous Nighttime Spectacular". The way back home was quite challenging, with almost everybody taking the Disney train to MRT Sunny Bay station. But we managed to make our way back to our hotel just the same.

Unfortunately my least-enjoyable Disneyland experience so far. This experience at Disneyland Hong Kong just felt different from prior experiences elsewhere. "Anarchy" is one word that constantly popped up in my mind over the 2 days my family and I were here. From the moment we boarded the train to get to the park, the experience alternated between Disney's fairy tale characters and Lord of the Ring's hordes of orcs. On both mornings, we arrived at the gates at 9:50am, and ended up entering the park at about 10:45am. For whatever reason, the majority of the park's patrons consistently demonstrated blatant disregard for: 1. Queues 2. Personal space 3. Social etiquettes 4. Rules 5. Even safety reminders. Shoving, rushing, and shouting was a very big part of the experience throughout those 2 days. Anarchy and chaos was a constant theme. We witnessed several shouting matches between patrons, and even a couple of physical fights. Families with young children or elderly folks would certainly be preyed on, as we repeatedly witnessed. One had to be constantly alert and hold their ground quite literally. A momentary lapse in concentration while standing in line could, and would, cause one to lose one's spot in the queues, as people behind in the queue would take every opportunity to unapologetically skip ahead whenever an opportunity arose. There also appeared to be an unwritten understanding that the closer everyone got to the person in front while queuing, the quicker the line would move. Bonus points for touching the backs of people immediately ahead in the queue, or breathing down their necks - literally. In relation to points #4 and #5 above, do also expect disruptions to rides thanks to people who refuse to abide by safety rules and try to argue their way out of compliance. Mealtimes are like frenzies. As there are no queues for table allocations, securing a table requires some combination of deft footwork, lightning reflexes, and thick skin. In some situations, strong core and shoulder muscles, conspicuously large bicep muscles, and a loud voice might also provide an added advantage. We consumed about 5 meals in total over both days in the park, and in all 5 experiences, we spent more time standing in whatever semblance of a queue there was to purchase food, than actually consuming the food. We also made 4 attempts to purchase souvenirs at the gift shops. We aborted 2 of those attempts due to overcrowding in the shops. Around the park, most of the staff had given up any effort to try to be friendly or, in some instances, even polite (especially at the F&B outlets). Many also gave up trying to enforce queues or rules. Most of them looked jaded, some even traumatised. That said, while these are the main differences between Disneyland HK vs Disneyland in many other parts of the world, there are still some enjoyable bits to the experiences. The rides and performances were mostly of good quality, as can be expected of Disney. There was something disappointing though - no street parade in Disneyland?

1 day was not enough to explore Disneyland. Be there before they open the rides and we were there around 10:10am. They have great performances/ show that you won't like to miss. I do recomend you to download the disney app, waiting time from each rides will be shown in the app. The newly opened "Frozen" rides and show is a must try! take note that everything has timings not all rides operates till evening. Foods inside is a bit expensive, but in our situation that day, we don't have time to eat because we're trying to ride everything and watch all performances/ show that they have but unfortunately in the end of the day, i guess we only missed 2 rides. Fireworks in the evening is worth waiting for! It will start at 8:30PM so you have to look for a good spot!

Having visited Disney in California and Florida many times, I was excited to visit another park, especially at Christmas time! The train there was excellent and themed, which definitely got you in the Disney mood. Everything was impeccably clean, well organised and hardly any lines for anything, apart from photos with characters which I didn’t bother with. The fireworks show was great. I had great meals, apart from the vegetarian option at the restaurant in Fantasyland (Mickey shaped potato cakes), I wouldn’t recommend this. The vegetarian curry in Adventureland was unreal and a very generous portion. I added the food combo package to my ticket so I got two meals with drinks and a snack if I remember correctly. I did find the souvenirs and merch a little limited compared to other parks. I did make use of the locker hire throughout the day - it was expensive but worth it.

Well worth the visit. I've been to Disneyland Paris, but the first Disneyland for my children. Love the train - Disney themed. It was easy to get to and really surprised how quick it was to get out at the end of the evening, although we probably left before the fireworks ended. I would fully recommend getting the jump the queue tickets as it took a long time to get on rides, usually at least an hour and then less than a 5 min ride. If you get this, you could do all the rides in the park in one day. We were disappointed that the train ride around the park was not the best, but it certainly picked up after that.

A wonderful Disney experience. Unfortunately it was raining so a few of the daytime shows were cancelled when I attended but the night show lives up to its name, spectacular! Just make sure you get a good spot early to get the best view of the show. I plan on doing all of the Disney parks one day but so far Hong Kong Disney outranks Paris in my opinion

Our family trip to Hong Kong Disneyland was nothing short of magical! From the moment we entered the park, we were immersed in a world of wonder and excitement that kept us entertained throughout the day. Arrival and First Impressions As we arrived at the park, the excitement was palpable. The iconic Disney castle greeted us, and we couldn't help but snap a few family photos in front of it. The vibrant colors and cheerful music set a joyful tone for our day, instantly putting us in the Disney spirit. Attractions and Rides We started our adventure with some classic attractions. The Mystic Manor was a family favorite, offering a unique take on the traditional haunted house ride with stunning visuals and a captivating story. My kids were enthralled, and we all enjoyed the whimsical experience. We also made sure to ride Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars, which was an exhilarating roller coaster that provided plenty of thrills. The combination of sharp turns and breathtaking views of the park made it a highlight for everyone. The It's a Small World ride was another must-do, and it was lovely to see the smiling faces of children from around the world represented in the colorful displays. It sparked conversations about different cultures and traditions, making it an educational experience as well. Meeting Characters One of the most magical moments was when we met some of our favorite Disney characters. The kids were overjoyed to pose with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, and seeing their faces light up was priceless. The character interactions were genuine, and the staff took their time to ensure everyone had a memorable experience. Dining and Snacks As lunchtime approached, we found a cozy spot for a meal at Royal Banquet Hall. The themed decor and delicious food options made it a great place to recharge. We indulged in some classic Disney snacks, including popcorn and churros, which added to the festive atmosphere. The kids particularly loved the character-themed treats! Parades and Shows In the afternoon, we caught the Disney Paint the Night Parade. The colorful floats and lively performances were mesmerizing. It was a treat to see all the beloved characters come to life in such a vibrant display. The evening ended with the spectacular Disney fireworks show over the castle, which was the perfect way to conclude our day. Conclusion Our family day at Hong Kong Disneyland was a delightful experience filled with laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories. The park’s blend of classic Disney magic and unique attractions made it a perfect destination for all ages. We left with hearts full of joy and a strong desire to return. If you’re looking for a place to create magical moments with your family, Hong Kong Disneyland is an absolute must-visit!
