Our visit to the Great Wall of China with Mubus was fantastic, and Jessica was an excellent guide! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the trip both informative and entertaining. The journey was well-organized, and the itinerary was perfect for families. We explored both the east and west sides of the wall, going up by cable car and coming down on the fun slide—an absolute hit with the kids! The restaurant buffet was also great, offering a wide variety of delicious food at an amazing value for the budget. This trip exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend Mubus and Jessica for anyone looking to visit the Great Wall!

Excellent day out. The wall is stunning, the views are breathtaking and although it is steep it’s manageable for a relatively fit person. It wasn’t too crowded but there were a fair amount of people (seemed to e loads of Aussies!). A few things can be improved though. It was difficult to find the tourist bus from Qianmen, had to ask people and once we found it they queried who we bought our Great Wall entrance tickets from and seemed reluctant to let us buy bus tickets. We bought entry tickets from GetYourGuide but should have just bought them much cheaper on site (it was after Golden week). Avoid the scam souvenir sellers at the cable car at the top, I’m unsure why they are allowed to operate there. It gives a poor impression of China, that these people are allowed to try to rip tourists off within an attraction.

For the trip, I researched information on the Internet and came across a link for the transfer company “MUBUS”. I read reviews about this company and chose a tariff with lunch (I was right, there was a huge selection of delicious food and different cuisines to choose from). I liked everything, from the convenience of the landing location in Beijing to the company guides accompanying me on all issues. I was lucky that my guide was Michael, he knows English very well and explained all the necessary information in as detailed and clear a manner as possible. I advise everyone who plans to visit the Chinese Wall to first study what routes are available and how best to plan your route: to the west or east, or maybe both. You need to be prepared that there will be a huge number of people on the wall; in some areas, especially difficult ones, there will be long queues. But if you climb the highest tower from the open western section of the Wall, you will receive satisfaction and joy.

Of course, when you are in Beijing, you visit the Great Wall. One thing they don't warn you enough about though: it is quite a cardio and leg workout. Even if you avail of the cable car and chair lift, even just getting to those spots involved climbing a pretty steep hill which seemed close to 40 degrees in terms of inclination. Some other things worth emphasizing: book at least 1 week in advance otherwise slots quickly run out. And you'll need to pay extra (P140 yuan) for the cable car going up the Western portion and separately for the chair lifts going up the Eastern portion. You can opt to walk up but given my description, you probably won't make it Once you're up there, prepare for another workout particularly in the Western portion. It's tempting to think you can reach the highest point but that's just really just wishful thinking. If you had to choose, the Eastern portion is nicer. Less people and it's pretty much one medium length portion going down and one really long portion goimg up which I didn't try to scale anymore. Plus the chair lift and the tobaggon ride down are pretty interesting (the tobaggon ride isn't as scary as it sounds. You're in full control of your speed except some minders tell you to slow down or speed up) I availed of the package on Klook. Some notes: Assembly is at 750 am and that's rush hour so taxis are hard to come by. Plan for a subway trip I actually like the surroundings better in that part of Beijing compared to downtown Some more general notes: this place has lots of toilets (except on the wall itself) and restuarants. Also has souvenir shops though I wasn't able to check out the prices

The team at Mubus was extremely professional; they strictly adhered to the departure time, and the organization was top-notch. Despite having visited the Great Wall of China during the peak season on May 2nd, our guide Michael provided us with incredibly helpful real-time advice from his colleagues on the wall, allowing us to avoid excessively crowded areas. He also helped us save 160 CNY by skipping the cable car tickets, as the waiting time was 2 hours, while we managed to walk up in about 30 minutes. Additionally, Michael made the approximately 2-hour journey very enjoyable with his jokes, fascinating insights about the Great Wall of China and Chinese history, and other interactions. Congratulations and many thanks to the Mubus team, but especially to Michael! I hope to encounter a Michael on every minibus ride in the future!

Had a fantastic time exploring the Great Wall of China at Mutianyu, a must-see wonder of the world for any global trotter! MuBus went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. They even WhatsApped us a day in advance with meeting details and a picture of themselves, making us feel comfortable and well-prepared. The journey from Dongzhimen station to the Great Wall was comfortable, and our bus guides, Leo and Mike, were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts and stories about the wall, and even offering recommendations on where to visit and eat in Beijing. Once at Mutianyu, we were free to explore at our own pace, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommend MuBus for anyone looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable way to experience this iconic landmark.

Early birds are rewarded with smaller crowds, allowing for a more peaceful and immersive exploration of the wall. The tranquility of the early morning hours offers a unique perspective on this ancient wonder, perfect for photography and quiet contemplation. A standout feature of this section of the Great Wall is the toboggan run. This exhilarating ride adds an element of fun and excitement to the historical experience. It's an innovative way to descend from the wall, providing a thrilling conclusion to the visit. While not explicitly mentioned, the ticket office likely offers efficient service, clear information, and possibly various ticket options to suit different preferences and budgets. The high rating suggests that the staff are helpful and the process of obtaining tickets is smooth. The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is known for its well-preserved architecture and stunning views. The ticket office's role in facilitating access to this remarkable site contributes significantly to the overall positive experience. For anyone planning to visit the Great Wall of China, the Mutianyu Scenic Area, accessed through this ticket office, appears to be an excellent choice. Excellent location for a first visit to discover the Great Wall. It's a bout 1.5 hours from Beijing city centre and there are many tours taking tourists from downtown up to the village where the two sides to visit (West and East - two separate tickets) can be reached. via a shuttle bus it is possible to arrive to the place where two separate funiculars take up to the mountain to start the walks on the wall. Both sides are amazing - and could be quite crowed. The suggestion is to get an early morning tour in order to have the chance to visit both sides as each of them could take up to 2 hours. In the Mutianyu village, the are many places to grab a quick lunch and any type of souvenirs. overall, a unique experience!!!!!!!!

Very good price for what the visit includes. Jily from Mubus made the bus transfer very lively by telling us about the history of China and the wall. You can also eat for a small price at the restaurant's buffet. The only problem is that if you want to do only one section of the wall you have to wait for the first return bus to fill up.

We took the shuttle from Qianmen metro station and did not regret it. The cost is 80 yuan – there and back. No need to bother with regular buses, taxi drivers and think about how to get to the ticket office. I sat down and drove off. They deliver it directly to the cash register. Upon boarding, they are sold complete with a lift (+160 yuan). We went on March 18th. We arrived at 8.45. The bus was half full. There are women in pistachio jackets standing next to the bus, we showed “Mutianyu” in Chinese, and took cash for 80 yuan per person. We got on the bus. The remaining payments are already made while the bus is moving. We arrived at 11.00 – there weren’t many people on the wall. After arrival we were told the return time. In our case there were 2 buses - at 15.00 and 16.00. But they are also sent when they are full. Personally, we think that a shuttle for 80 yuan is more convenient than getting there by regular buses, taxi drivers, etc. And relatively inexpensive.
